Sam Ramji, Microsoft’s chief open-source advocate, is pushing MS in the right direction. Slowly but surely, MS is entering the 21st century and open it to the concepts and philosophy of open source. MS will support SWT and the Higgins identity management project.

Though some of the new MS technologies like MS Windows Server 2008 and Hyper-V, it seems that MS may have missed the mark with Windows Home Server.
It appears that by using this at home, you could lose some data by simply using having more than one disk and using some of your standard software (like MS Office 2007).
