Apple fans should circle Oct. 7 and 8 on their calendars: That's when Amazon is having its fourth annual Prime Big Deal Days sale. This "October Prime Day" event (an informal Black Friday kickoff) typically prompts record-low prices on AirPods, Apple Watches, iPads, and MacBooks, marking one of the absolute best times of year to upgrade any older Apple gadgets that just aren't cutting it.

This year, Prime Big Deal Days comes hot on the heels of Apple's "Awe Dropping" launch of new iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods. I doubt the new iPhone 17 series or iPhone Air will go on sale once the event starts, but I'm pretty confident we'll see some initial discounts on the new Apple Watch Series 11, SE 3, and Ultra 3, as well as the updated AirPods Pro 3.

Ahead of the actual sale kickoff, the Series 11 is already $10 off (normally $399, now $389). I'd personally wait to see if it dips even lower, but if you're jonesing to have it right away post-release, this is a fine excuse to add it to your cart. An even better pre-Prime Day Apple Watch deal stars its predecessor, the Series 10, which is a whopping $170 off if you opt for cellular connectivity. That blows past its previous all-time low price.

We're also seeing some MacBook and iPad deals that match July's Prime Day prices — including the M4 MacBook Air for $799 and the M3 iPad Air for $449. We've never seen those prices drop any lower, but we'll never say never. Regardless, if you want to grab them before the shopping event begins, you're guaranteed a great price.

In the market for new AirPods? We think you should ultimately hold off until the shopping event starts. Although there's no guarantee they'll get any cheaper, we did see better prices back in July.

Below, I've rounded up over two dozen of the best early October Prime Day Apple deals. I'll continue to monitor prices and flag record lows (marked with a 🔥) in the lead-up to the sale, so check back often.

The second-generation AirPods Pro offer top-tier sound quality, excellent noise cancellation, and a battery life of about seven hours per charge. They're our current favorite earbuds for Apple users, though that may soon change once we finish testing the newer AirPods Pro 3, which have a different design and five swappable ear tips (up from three), even better active noise cancellation, Live Translation, and extra health features. They're a pretty significant upgrade on paper, but if price is your biggest concern, the AirPods Pro 2 are $79 cheaper. While this isn't the cheapest they've ever been, it's still a hefty discount compared to the usual $199 sale price.

While the Apple Watch Series 10 is virtually identical to its successor in terms of features and design, its battery life is worse. That's not ideal if you plan to regularly use tracking tools like Sleep Score, which get less accurate in Low Power Mode, but it's an easy sacrifice at a price like this. The rose gold Series 10 with cellular connectivity and a light blush sport band is now just $329 — a 34% savings and a new all-time low. Before this month, it never dipped below $370.

This deal is so good, I almost think it might be a fluke on Amazon's part (either that or an inventory-clearing clearance discount). The non-cellular version is on sale for the exact same price there.

It's not a huge upgrade by any means, but that's not a bad thing. We think it's the best iPad choice for most people, especially now that it's down to just $449 at Amazon. That's its best price on record.

With news of a potential U.S. ban on the company's drones looming and a required national security risk assessment due this December, the future availability of DJI products is uncertain. The company's already having trouble importing its products, and many models are listed as "Out of stock" on DJI's own website.

Amazon Prime Day is no longer one glorious day of deals just for Prime members. The flagship Prime Day now spans four days in July, and Amazon has added another annual event in October, too. This year, Prime Big Deal Days returns tomorrow, spanning Oct. 7 and 8. Amazon says its October Prime Day event will deliver millions of deals across categories, giving customers a head start on holiday shopping.

Before the sale begins, it’s worth mapping out what gifts you need to buy or which household goods need restocking. But if you're eager to get an even earlier jump on the holiday shopping, we have some good news. Early deals are already starting to creep in. There are some real gems already available to buy before the chaos of Prime Day takes hold.

When is Target Circle Week?

The current Target Circle Week is happening now and runs from Oct. 5 through Oct. 11. While Amazon's Prime Day events typically last for a few days, Target's sale is a full week-long event.

Do you need to be a Circle member to shop Target Circle Week?

Yes, you need to be a Target Circle member to get the exclusive savings during Circle Week. However, the membership is completely free and easy to join. Get a 65-inch QLED TV for $299.99 before October Prime Day starts tomorrow, plus other TV deals already live

We're just one day away from Prime Big Deal Days and the TV deals are getting even better. Last week, we were pleased by the early deals cropping up, and this week prices are dropping even further. In particular, Amazon is killing it with the cheap QLED TV selection — a couple 65-inch and 75-inch QLEDs have dropped below $500 ahead of October Prime Day.

Amazon shocked us all by actually having good TV deals during Prime Day in July — historically, Amazon hadn't exactly been a hot spot for TV deals outside of Fire TVs. There's no reason to not expect Amazon to bring the same energy for October Prime Day (Prime Big Deal Days, to be official). Evidence is already popping up.

For anyone who was locked into the YA film boom of the 2010s, the prospect of a film starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson is a thrilling one.

Not only did the two each lead massive film franchises in The Hunger Games and Twilight, they also seamlessly made the jump into more adult projects. Lawrence won an Academy Award for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook and began producing independent films like 2022's Causeway. Meanwhile, Pattinson leaned fully into his "weird guy" energy, bringing it to 2022's The Batman and 2025's Mickey 17.

Now, the pair unite in MUBI's upcoming thriller Die My Love, directed by Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin). Ramsay co-wrote the film with Enda Walsh and Alice Birch, adapting it from the 2012 novel of the same name by Ariana Harwicz.

Lawrence and Pattinson star as Grace and Jackson, a loving young couple. They, along with their newborn baby, move from New York to a country home in Montana that once belonged to Jackson's uncle. As Grace begins to experience postpartum depression, the isolation of their new surroundings only makes things worse, causing her to spiral and her marriage to Jackson to suffer.

Die My Love premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it received mostly positive reviews. Lawrence in particular earned praise for her performance, which, from the looks of the trailer, promises to be one of her most intense turns yet. Die My Love also stars LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek. It will hit theaters Nov. 7.

Stephen King has a blunt response to Stephen Millers leftwing terrorism post

Stephen King has had plenty of stern words for the president recently, but on Sunday he turned his attention to the deputy chief of staff instead.

The horror master responded to an X post from Stephen Miller talking about "a large and growing movement of leftwing terrorism" in the US.

"The issue before is [sic] now is very simple and clear," wrote Miller. "There is a large and growing movement of leftwing terrorism in this country. It is well organized and funded. And it is shielded by far-left Democrat judges, prosecutors and attorneys general. The only remedy is to use legitimate state power to dismantle terrorism and terror networks."

Miller, who has been instrumental in the Trump administration's immigration policy, had been posting about ICE protests taking place in Chicago, Illinois — a city that has subsequently had the national guard deployed to it by Trump.

King, meanwhile, quoted Miller's post with a comment on the tactics the administration is using.

"Sorry, Steve--The Constitution isn't far left or far right," he wrote. "It's the basis on our democracy, and you're playing the terror card to try and overturn it. Won't work."

Trump's administration has been deploying national guard troops to certain democratic-run cities in recent weeks under the guise of fighting crime, but a recent effort to deploy troops to Portland, Oregon has been blocked by a federal judge.

October's full moon is here, and it’s a supermoon, the first of three consecutive supermoons. That means it’ll appear bigger and brighter in the sky than usual, perfect for late-night stargazing.

Alongside all this, October's full moon marks an important point in the lunar calendar, with seasonal significance. Here’s when it's due, what it’s called, and what it means.

When is the October full moon?

October's full moon will occur on Sunday, Oct. 6, and Monday, Oct. 7, depending on where you are in the world.

In E.T., the full moon will reach its peak at 11:47 p.m. on Oct. 6. however, in BST, the peak occurs at 4:47 a.m. on Oct. 7, according to Time And Date.

The previous full moon was on Sept. 7.

What is the October full moon called?

Full moons all have their own names, a custom from early cultures that used the lunar cycle to follow time and seasonal shifts.

The full moon closest to the autumnal equinox is called the Harvest Moon. In 2025, that falls in October, so this full moon takes the name Harvest Moon instead of the usual Hunter’s Moon.

This full moon is also a supermoon, meaning it appears larger and brighter in the sky because it's closer to Earth during its orbit, and will be the first of three consecutive supermoons, according to NASA.

When is the next full moon?

The next full moon is predicted to occur on Nov. 5, 2025, according to NASA's Daily Moon Guide.

What are the lunar phases?

The full moon is just one day of the lunar phase, which is a 29.5-day cycle of the moon's orbit. Moon phases are how the moon looks from Earth as it goes around us. We always see the same side of the moon, but how much of it is lit up by the Sun changes depending on where it is in its orbit. This is how we get full moons, half moons, and moons that appear completely invisible.

There are eight main moon phases, and they follow a repeating cycle:

  • New Moon — The moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it's invisible to the eye).

  • Waxing Crescent — A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).

  • First Quarter — Half of the moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-moon.

  • Waxing Gibbous — More than half is lit up, but it’s not quite full yet.

  • Full Moon — The whole face of the moon is illuminated and fully visible.

  • Waning Gibbous — The moon starts losing light on the right side.

  • Last Quarter (or Third Quarter) — Another half-moon, but now the left side is lit.

  • Waning Crescent — A thin sliver of light remains on the left side before going dark again.
