SteamOS Gave My Legion GO the Battery Life It's Always Deserved
I've really enjoyed owning a Windows handheld gaming PC, but as a PC gamer I knew what to expect. I'd really rather have bought a Steam Deck, but Valve doesn't sell them in my country, and parallel imports have no support or warranty.
Xbox's Copilot Assistant Is Now Live in Testing

Windows Update Isn’t Just for System Updates Anymore
Windows Update is a pretty good resource for keeping your PC up to date, but updating the rest of your programs and apps on your computer can be a bit more of a toss-up—there's no reliable centralized update solution for your apps. Microsoft wants Windows Update to be able to help with that, too.

The Yeti Tundra 65 hard cooler just got $75 cheaper (if you like green)
SAVE $75: As of May 28, the Yeti Tundra 65 hard cooler in key lime is on sale for $300, down from $375, at Amazon and Yeti's own website. That's 20% off.

Yeti coolers are unmatched. Not only can they keep ice for days (weeks, even!), but they're also virtually indestructible. I'm a Yeti fangirl at this point (I own a Yeti Roadie 24, Rambler water bottle, Colster can cooler, and stackable mugs) and my only real complaint is the dang prices. Not only is virtually everything in the Yeti lineup expensive, but it also rarely goes on sale. That's why I wanted to scream it from the rooftops that the Yeti Tundra 65 hard cooler is on sale for 20% off.
As of May 28, you can get the Yeti Tundra 65 hard cooler — what Yeti calls its "most versatile cooler" — for only $300 instead of $375. Yes, that's still a lot for a cooler, but it's the cheapest you'll ever find this particular cooler (aside from Black Friday). The only catch? Just the key lime green option is on sale.
SEE ALSO: The super-charged Anker Laptop Power Bank is $25 off at Amazon ahead of summer travelThe Tundra 65 hard cooler fits 77 cans or 58 pounds of just ice, making it a stellar pick for camping trips, weekend getaways, backyard barbecues, and so much more. The ice will easily last you a full weekend, but when it finally does start to melt, you can seamlessly empty it out with the Vortex drain system. The Doublehaul handles are made from military-grade polyester ropes, making it sturdier and easier to carry. Although, we must warn you, this thing is heavy.
If you want something a bit easier to tote around, the Yeti Roadie 32 is designed with wheels and a handle, and it's also on sale in the key lime color. Snag it for just $300 as well.

Apple launches a self-repair program for iPads
A decade ago, this would've been unthinkable. Now, it's reality.
Apple announced in a company blog post on Wednesday that several iPad models are now part of its self-repair program. Through this program, which has a dedicated and easy-to-use website, iPad owners can order detailed repair manuals, tools, and what Apple calls "genuine Apple parts" to fix whatever might be ailing their tablets. Apple says you can use this program to fix displays, batteries, charging ports, and cameras.
SEE ALSO: Apple's new HomePod with a display might arrive by the end of 2025As for which iPad models are supported right now, Apple has provided a list:
iPad Air (M2 or later)
iPad Pro (M4)
iPad mini (A17 Pro)
iPad (A16)
Unfortunately, this means anyone with an older iPad is probably out of luck on the home-repair front. Apple seems to favor newer products in the self-repair store, as the press release took great pride in noting that the recently launched iPhone 16e is supported by this program.
For a very long time, having to take your busted iPad into an Apple Store for repairs was just the way of things. However, the persistent "Right to Repair" movement eventually pressured companies like Apple into offering self-repair programs. Apple's started in 2022 and has expanded to support 65 products under the Apple banner.
Personally, I'll keep trusting the professionals more than myself.

They come with powerful, compact 11 mm drivers for a deep, satisfying bass. They also have a bit of extra space around the drivers for more vibration and less distortion. You can also expect solid noise cancellation, as these buds can check for noise leakage between your earbud and ear canal. They make it much easier to block out the sounds you don't want to hear while helping you focus on the ones that matter.
They also work great for voice calls, with an improved microphone and reduced interference in comparison to their previous model. Thanks to the ChatGPT integration, they also come with an AI-powered onboard virtual assistant. Just use your voice to access ChatGPT and tweak settings with the Nothing X app, which will also give you visual results in addition to what's in your ears.
If you're looking to try something a little different, these buds should tick all the boxes. Be sure to grab them while they're on sale.

Watch the moment SpaceX Starship crushed a major milestone in latest test
Many reports following SpaceX’s ninth flight test for Starship on Tuesday emphasized disaster: The company’s massive rocket and uncrewed spacecraft exploded — again.
But each demonstration has had specific objectives, and though Starship didn’t come close to acing them all this time, one in particular was a breakthrough toward making the rocket and ship reusable. That's a crucial goal for SpaceX, which hopes to use the ship to send people to the moon and Mars in a financially sustainable way.
The launch, which lifted off from SpaceX’s private space port in south Texas on May 27, saw the first re-flown booster in action. The test was broadcast on SpaceX founder Elon Musk's social platform, X. During the livestream, cheers erupted at Starbase when the spacecraft’s engines ignited and the Super Heavy booster — also used in a January test — separated from it and fell back toward Earth.
"Six healthy Raptors running on Ship, on its way to space," a commentator said excitedly, referring to its powerful engines. "Peek that engine view."
That crucial moment can be watched in a video clip presented further down in this story.
SEE ALSO: NASA astronauts are proud bedwetters. They even practice. During a livestream of the test, spectators got a closeup look at Starship's Raptor engines in space. Credit: SpaceX / X screenshotThe thrill of the achievement didn't last long, perhaps eclipsed by yet another failure. The booster detached from Starship in a method called hot-staging, which means the top part of the rocket starts its engines while still connected to the booster.
That was all part of the plan — a strategy intended to make for a smoother transition — as was the booster flipping itself around after the split. But as the booster neared its landing spot, something went wrong. It broke apart in the air over the Gulf of Mexico, ensuring it definitely won't be reused again.
Starship is a 400-foot-tall beast. The test flight was the rocket system's third this year. The previous two ended in explosions as well, though Tuesday's flight lasted much longer, flying for 46 minutes before flight controllers lost contact with it. The ship wreckage rained over the Indian Ocean.
In a company statement following the test, SpaceX said it couldn't deploy mock satellites in space as expected because Starship's door to release them jammed. The ship also struggled to control its position in orbit, which meant it couldn't restart an engine or prepare for reentry into the atmosphere.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. The above X post features a video of the key moment a reused Starship booster nails its separation and flip in the ninth flight test.
SpaceX has faced criticism for its previous Starship test failures. Its executives insist that building fast, destroying expensive hardware, and learning quickly from mistakes are all part of the company's philosophy — in stark contrast with NASA's much slower approach.
NASA will depend on the rocket company to ferry astronauts to the lunar surface on a modified Starship for the Artemis III and IV moon missions under a $4.2 billion contract. To do that, SpaceX first has to master refueling its ship in space. For Musk, Starship is also a passion project to eventually send people to settle a city on Mars.
The company says it's planning to make more improvements to the prototype before the next flight test.
"Developmental testing by definition is unpredictable," SpaceX said in a statement, "but every lesson learned marks progress toward Starship’s goal of enabling life to become multiplanetary."

The best thing about modern tech is that seemingly every gadget serves multiple purposes. Case in point: the Samsung M7 smart monitor. On one hand, it serves as a second screen to extend your workspace. On the other, it serves as a fully capable smart TV. I have an older model of this monitor (the M5) and can enthusiastically say it's one of my best tech purchases.
I'm not a huge fan of the retail price of $499.99, but as of May 28, it's down to just $379.99. That's 24% in savings and only $30 shy of its best price ever.
While many tech purchases don't stand the test of time, I've had the older Samsung M5 smart monitor since 2021, and it's still in pristine condition. I've never had a single complaint, truly. The M7 is two generations better, so I can only imagine how much I'd rave about it. Actually, Mashable's RJ Andersen spent a few months with the M7 and did rave about it.
SEE ALSO: Heads up: The Samsung Galaxy S25 has never been this cheap beforeHere's the scoop:
The 4K display is bright and crisp with a 60 Hz refresh rate and maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160.
Connection-wise, it packs two HDMI ports, three USB-A ports, and one USB-C port.
Adaptive Picture technology can adjust your screen brightness for the best viewing experience.
Two "Eye Saver" modes help reduce blue light emissions.
Samsung Gaming Hub lets you stream games without the need of a console or PC.
You can download and enjoy all your favorite streaming apps and even browse the internet, no other device needed.
So long as you have a sturdy internet connection, Samsung's M7 smart monitor works double duty as a brilliant 43-inch TV. I have a smaller, 27-inch model and have streamed plenty of episodes of New Girl on mine without issue. In fact, I used my Samsung monitor as my TV for a few weeks when I moved into my new place. If you're strapped for space and want a single screen for streaming and working, you won't be disappointed. It might even look better than my actual TV.
If you're a Samsung loyalist, the M7 monitor even lets you control multiple Samsung tablet and mobile devices with a single mouse and keyboard for greater efficiency. I can't speak to the efficacy of this feature, as I am device-agnostic. I also don't think I'd recommend it to hardcore gamers seeking a monitor, as the refresh rate is a bit low. For pretty much anyone else wanting a monitor that can do the most, I wholeheartedly encourage snagging this baby while it's on sale.

There are plenty of deals going on during the PlayStation Days of Play sale, so you can snag a controller for a significant discount.
As of May 28, get a PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller in various colorways for $54.99, down from its usual price of $74.99, at PlayStation Direct and Amazon. That's a discount of 25%. This discount applies specifically to the Galactic Purple, Starlight Blue, and Cosmic Red colorways, with some variants available for $59.99.
SEE ALSO: The PlayStation 5 Pro just went on sale for its lowest price since launchThis is the standard PlayStation 5 controller that comes with the console when you purchase one. It's usually available in a plain white that matches the system. There are plenty of hues to choose from, but they offer the same features. That includes haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, as well as an ergonomic design that evolves on the previous PlayStation controller design.
This model has a built-in microphone that also acts as a speaker for certain games, so sound can come through the controller itself while you play. It has a rechargeable battery that you can top up via USB-C, and it's compatible with a variety of additional devices. Now's a good time to snatch up a few different colors, especially if you're ready to jump into the games releasing throughout summer and fall.

Good Fortune trailer: Keanu Reeves plays a guardian angel in Aziz Ansaris directorial debut
With several action franchises under his belt, from The Matrix to John Wick, you'd think Keanu Reeves would be a pretty solid guardian angel. After all, it seems like he could fight off damn near any threat!
SEE ALSO: Summer Movie Preview: What's coming to theaters and streaming? However, that's not the case in Good Fortune, which sees Reeves playing an angel named Gabriel. No, not that Gabriel. Reeves' character is more of a "budget guardian angel."
Written and directed by Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation, Master of None) in his feature directorial debut, Good Fortune centers on Gabriel's attempts to prove himself as a guardian angel. Usually stuck with helping people who are choking or texting while driving, Gabriel yearns for more meaningful duties. That means finding a lost soul and teaching them how beautiful their life can be.
Gabriel finds such a soul in struggling gig worker Arj (Ansari). However, his plans to give Arj's life meaning go awry when he body swaps Arj with wealthy venture capitalist Jeff (Seth Rogen).
Originally meant to teach Arj that wealth isn't the answer, Gabriel's tactic backfires when it turns out that Arj really loves Jeff's lifestyle. The price for Gabriel's failure? Losing his wings and living among the humans. However, based on the trailer above, which shows Gabriel chowing down on fast food and boogieing up a storm, it doesn't seem like that punishment is that bad. Right?
In addition to Reeves, Ansari, and Rogen, Good Fortune also stars Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer.
Good Fortune hits theaters Oct. 17.

My favorite Bluetooth speaker is back down to its lowest price at Amazon
SAVE 37%: As of May 28, you can get the Sony SRS-XB100 Bluetooth speaker for just $38, down from $59.99, at Amazon. That's a 37% discount and a $21.99 savings. It's also the lowest we've seen this speaker go for since Black Friday.

The Memorial Day sales are winding down, but there are still some pretty good deals out there on everything from speakers to TVs.
As of May 28, you can get the Sony SRS-XB100 Bluetooth speaker for just $38, down from $59.99, at Amazon. That's a 37% discount and a $21.99 savings. It's also the lowest we've seen this speaker go for since Black Friday.
SEE ALSO: The best speakers in 2025The Sony SRS-XB100 is compact, lightweight, and surprisingly powerful for its size. I’ve had this speaker for about a year now, and it’s still my go-to whenever I’m at the beach, lounging by the pool, or want to listen to some tunes in the shower. I just pop it in my bag, and I’m good to go.
It can play for up to 16 hours on a single charge, and it charges via a USB-C port. (So even if you forget your charger, your phone charger could work.) It also has an IP67 rating, so it’s dustproof and waterproof. (I can attest to its durability; I take it to the beach every time I go.)
The only issue I’ve had with this speaker is that if it’s connected to another device, you’ll need to disconnect it before connecting to another. It doesn’t let you switch between devices as easily as some other Bluetooth speakers do. Still, $38 for a great-sounding portable Bluetooth speaker is hard to beat.

The PlayStation 5 Pro just went on sale for its lowest price since launch
SAVE $50: The PlayStation 5 Pro usually retails for $699.99, but Amazon has it on sale for $649 as of May 28. That's its best deal since launch.

The most powerful PlayStation console has fallen to its lowest price yet during Sony's 2025 Days of Play sale. That's not saying much — it's still $50 more than a 1TB Xbox Series X post-tariffs. But this is a rare deal to see outside of Cyber Weekend, when PlayStations typically fall to their year-round lows, and a welcome respite from its "brutal" MSRP.
Amazon has the PS5 Pro marked down to $649 (normally $699.99), beating its current sale price via PlayStation Direct by a sneaky 99 cents. The deal should be live through June 11 at 11:59 p.m. local time, when Days of Play is scheduled to end.
SEE ALSO: PlayStation's Days of Play is live — Get a PS5 'Call of Duty' bundle for just $400Released in November 2024, or four years after the $499.99 standard PS5, the PS5 Pro is a beast of a console for deep-pocketed gamers who want their favorite titles to look and run as good as possible. (It's definitely more a "because I can"-type splurge than a necessary next-gen upgrade.) Here's how it's different from its predecessor:
Its GPU is faster, so gameplay is smoother
It supports PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (aka AI-driven upscaling), so games look sharper at higher frame rates
It has better ray tracing technology, so lighting and reflections look more realistic
It supports WiFi 7, the latest wireless tech
It has 2TB of storage (double that of the regular PS5)
It does not have a built-in disc drive — that's sold separately for $79.99
It's also worth noting that only 55 games have been "enhanced" to take full advantage of the PS5 Pro's upgrades.
