Anna’s Archive reportedly releasing Spotify files despite $13 trillion legal challenge

Anna's Archive, a site that serves as a shadow library for pirated content, has reportedly begun to quietly release millions of audio files scraped from Spotify. Anna's Archive made this move despite a staggering $13 trillion lawsuit — yes, trillion with a "T" — levied against the site by Spotify and major music labels.

Two privacy-focused websites, TorrentFreak and CyberNews, reported that Anna's Archive had begun to release the files scraped from Spotify. TorrentFreak reported the site's index "lists dozens of new torrents containing approximately 2.8 million tracks totaling roughly 6 terabytes of audio data."

CyberNews noted that, for the time being, the release appears to be composed of some of the least popular tracks in the trove of files scraped by Anna's Archive. The site wrote:

"However, it appears the release includes only some of the least popular scraped tracks, labeled with the 'pop_0' tag. Spotify’s algorithm assigns tracks a popularity metric ranging from 0 to 100, based on the total number of streams and the recency of those plays."

Spotify, along with three major labels — Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group — sued Anna's Archive, it was revealed last month, accusing the site of "brazen theft of millions of files containing nearly all of the world’s commercial sound recordings." A preliminary injunction was issued against Anna's Archive, which it is now reportedly defying.

Forbidden Fruits trailer: Lili Reinhart runs a witchy mall cult in this Mean Girls riff

Cinema has its fair share of iconic cliques, from Mean Girls' Plastics to Heathers' titular crew. Now, IFC and director Meredith Alloway's Forbidden Fruits looks to join their ranks with a killer clique of its own: the Free Eden girls.

Employees at the clothing store Free Eden, Apple (Lili Reinhart), Fig (Alexandra Shipp), and Cherry (Victoria Pedretti) are "mall royalty." They also run a witchy cult out of the Free Eden basement after hours, spearheaded by Apple.

But this trio's royalty status may come crashing down when a fourth member named Pumpkin (The Summer I Turned Pretty's Lola Tung) joins their ranks. According to the film's official synopsis, "when new hire Pumpkin challenges their performative sisterhood, the women are forced to face their own poisons or succumb to a bloody fate."

The trailer offers up tantalizing glances at these bloody fates, including some worrisome blade sharpening. On top of that, it gives us teases of the Free Eden girls' distinct fashion styles and some great one-liners. One scene in particular even appears to remix The Devil Wears Prada's iconic Chanel boots exchange.

In Forbidden Fruits' iteration of the scene, Apple asks, "Is someone wearing the —"

"The Mojave body mist?" Pumpkin interrupts. "Yeah. I'm wearing it."

If The Devil Wears Prada and Mean Girls are the kind of films Forbidden Fruits will be paying homage to, then I'm all in.

Forbidden Fruits will have its world premiere on March 16 at SXSW. It hits theaters March 27.

The trailer above explores what happened after Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) royally stuck his foot in his mouth by asking maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) to be his mistress. On the one hand, he certainly thought it was romantic, as it's the only socially acceptable way for people of their differing social standings. Plus, he didn't know that Sophie's mother was her father's mistress, adding extra emotional baggage to his request.

On the other hand... Benedict. Buddy. Read the room.

The trailer also explores the fallout of Benedict's faux pas: Benedict pines after Sophie, while Sophie wrestles with her complicated feelings over the proposal. The yearning is simply off the charts.

Apparently the lovebirds aren't apart for too long, though, because the trailer is full of passionate Benophie kisses — as well as a teaser for a steamy bath scene.

That's not all, though. In addition to all the Benedict and Sophie drama, these next episodes will see the much-welcome return of Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley). Anthony even gives Benedict a pep talk about following his heart and going after Sophie.

Here's hoping Benedict will actually follow through (and maybe choose his words better next time he tries for a big romantic gesture).

Bridgerton Season 4, Part 1 is now streaming on Netflix. Part 2 premieres Feb. 26.

Moon phase today: What the Moon will look like on February 13

While today's date may be unlucky for some, this isn't the case for those hoping to catch a glimpse of some lunar features before the Moon descends into New Moon darkness. There's a very small glimpse of Moon available to see, so keep reading to find out what you're seeing.

What is today’s Moon phase?

As of Friday, Feb. 13, the Moon phase is Waning Crescent. According to NASA's Daily Moon Guide, 17% of the Moon will be lit up tonight.

With no visual aids the only feature you can spot is the Aristarchus Plateau. According to NASA, this is a crater around 25 miles in diameter. A pair of binoculars will also let you see the Grimaldi Basin, meanwhile a telescope will bring the Schiller Crater into view.

When is the next Full Moon?

The next Full Moon will be on March 3. The last Full Moon was on Feb. 1.

What are Moon phases?

According to NASA, the Moon takes around 29.5 days to complete one orbit around the Earth. Throughout that time, it goes through eight different phases of visibility. Even though we always see the same side of the Moon, the part that’s lit up changes as it moves along its orbit. The amount of sunlight reflecting off the surface is what makes the Moon look full, partly lit, or almost dark at different points. The eight phases are:

New Moon - The Moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it's invisible to the eye).

Waxing Crescent - A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).

First Quarter - Half of the Moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-Moon.

Waxing Gibbous - More than half is lit up, but it’s not quite full yet.

Full Moon - The whole face of the Moon is illuminated and fully visible.

Waning Gibbous - The Moon starts losing light on the right side. (Northern Hemisphere)

Third Quarter (or Last Quarter) - Another half-Moon, but now the left side is lit.

Waning Crescent - A thin sliver of light remains on the left side before going dark again.

Pornhubs U.S. Valentines Day map is extremely telling

Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and if you're not frantically googling gift ideas, you might be searching for your explicit category of choice on Pornhub.

The top relative searches across the U.S. are here, just in time for Love Day, and they show what each state searches for more than the rest.

Off the bat, you can see that many of the states are greyed out. That's because Pornhub blocked many U.S. states with age-verification laws, or requirements for viewers to submit personal data in order to access adult content.

But for the states that remain, the results are telling. In New York, for instance, the mood is romantic with "intimate" — but over in Maine, they're really into cuckolding porn. New Mexico is also wholesome with "hugging," while Washington is into pegging, apparently.

Vermont and Pennsylvania have more chaste searches (passionate and respectful, respectively), and Hawaii wants to watch couples. Illinois is content with softcore, too. As you go around the map, though, you'll see more...NSFW choices.

Whether the site will have more hits tomorrow is anyone's guess — but it wouldn't be surprising to see both singles and couples partake.

The season adapts Anne Rice's novel of the same name, in which Lestat starts a rock band and goes on tour to share his side of the story of his and Louis de Pointe du Lac's (Jacob Anderson) relationship. Along the way, he'll be haunted by the "muses" of his past.

Of course, a glam rocker would be nothing without his songs. Thankfully, The Vampire Lestat will be releasing multiple singles tied to the series. The first of these is "Long Face," performed by Reid and with music and lyrics by series composer Daniel Hart. AMC first released the single as a lyric video, all the way back in July of 2024.

Lestat has issued a statement to press to commemorate the song's streaming release on major music platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon. Reading it, you'll understand exactly why he's earned the nickname of Brat Prince.

"'Long Face' is the first song Daniel Hart 'produced' for my album,” Lestat said. "He decided early on to steal where he could from Bowie because he hasn’t had an original idea for five years now (is that his Green Knight score fading in the rear view?) As for 'Long Face,' the bass should have walked down with the guitar at the end instead of pedaling on E. Predictable. Like everything Daniel Hart touches."

Ouch.

Despite Lestat's words, the song is an angsty banger that will hook you from its first menacing "ooh ooh ooh." Now the only thing missing is a music video (and The Vampire Lestat's exact release date.)

How to survive Valentines Day when youre heartbroken

Many Februarys ago, I went for lunch with a friend and was served a devastating blow.

As I ordered a club sandwich, I caught her eyeing me nervously. "So, I have some news," she said in a hesitant tone. There was an agonising suspenseful pause.

"Oh god," I said. My heart was beating so fast I thought it might leap right out of my chest cavity. She put her head in her hands as she geared up to break the news to me. Just tell me, for the love of god, I thought to myself.

"It's about Glen," she said.

"OK," I said, panicking. This was the man I had been seeing on and off for the past nine months. A friend-with-benefits that I'd accidentally caught feelings for. Not that I would've admitted that at the time.

"He has a girlfriend?" I guessed in a bid to put myself out of my own misery.

"That's not all, though," my friend said.

There was more. "They're having a baby," she said. Suddenly the restaurant felt unbearably noisy. A wave of heat passed over my body and a weird rash appeared across my chest, my sandwich arrived. I stared at it and tried my best not to puke.

It was three days before Valentine's Day and I wanted nothing more than for time to stand still. "Valentine's Day can absolutely get f*cked," I said the next day to my friend Michelle as I ran on the treadmill and cried simultaneously. A feat of human nature, you might say.

I wanted to round up every silk rose, every cheesy card, every tacky giant teddy bear and throw them on a giant bonfire. Everywhere I turned felt like a constant onslaught of love, romance, and relationships. Each one of them a reminder of the sting of rejection I was feeling. I wanted to pretend that Valentine's Day didn't exist, but I didn't know how.

There's a scene in Bridget Jones' Diary where she finds out that Daniel Cleaver has a secret fiancée the whole time they've been together, and she has to go to work and act like nothing's happened. She stares blankly at her computer screen, tears welling in her eyes. At my job in a theatre press office, I spent a week stealthily wiping away tears as they streamed from my eyes.

On Valentine's Day, a work friend left a card on my desk. It was a kind gesture that made me feel loved. But later, on Instagram, I saw the Valentine's Day card that Glen had given to his girlfriend. There was an illustration of a green olive alongside the line "Olive You." Ugh, they're at the pun stage of their romance. It was the longest Feb. 14 I have ever lived through.

Over the next few years, that cursed day came and went. On some years, I was nursing a broken heart from yet another terrible dating experience. Dear friends continued with their sweet gestures (my best friend left a red rose on my desk one year). Truth is, Valentine's Day is just another day if you're not in a state of loved-up bliss. So, why not treat it as exactly what is is: just another day in February.

I refuse to spend another Valentine's Day crying over a terrible olive pun. If you're nursing the fragments of a broken heart and are listening to The 1975's "Somebody Else" on repeat, then don't fret about Feb. 14's impending arrival. Here are some tried and tested techniques for putting two fingers up to V Day.

Celebrate other types of love

Psychologist Dr. Tony Ortega suggests reframing the day "from being a day of romantic love to a day of celebrating any kind of love, like we did when we were children."

"If you want to celebrate love but don't have romantic love, grab your friends and do something out of the ordinary to celebrate your friendships," say Ortega. "This could take the form of a scavenger hunt or perhaps an establishment that serves both liquor but has some entertainment like games or even a drag show." If you don't fancy going out, you could FaceTime a friend who lives far away and have a long-overdue catch up.

"Being in a relationship is not a mark of success. Many people in relationships are unhappy. Be proud of being single."

Look upon your heartbreak as a gift

It's really hard when you're in the thick of the post-breakup emotional turmoil, but try to take a step back and see the bigger picture. Whether the relationship was short-term, long-term, a situationship, FWB — there's a reason why it ended. Reframe romantic rejection as a positive thing that steers you back onto the right path, and prevents you going too far down the wrong road. It's a blessing to have your route corrected. It's better to be alone than in a bad relationship with a person who's not matching your energy or feeling the same way. Your future self will look back and be grateful.

Psychosexual and relationship therapist Silva Neves recommends banning the negative thoughts you have about yourself. "Being in a relationship is not a mark of success. Many people in relationships are unhappy. Be proud of being single," says Neves.

"Each time you have a negative thought about yourself, breathe in and out deeply and say something nurturing about yourself instead. You will find out that you have many good qualities." Make a list of everything you like about yourself, if you feel like it.

Do something nice for yourself

The longest relationship of your life is with yourself. So, why not spoil yourself? Buy yourself the dress you've been eyeing up for weeks. Make a delicious meal for yourself. Go get a manicure. Treat yourself to a new sex toy.

Ignore the hype

Valentine's Day literally is just any other day. So why not treat it as such? As it happens to fall on a Friday this year, stick to your usual Friday routine — be that grabbing a drink in the pub with your mates, or binge-watching Grace and Frankie on your sofa with a takeaway. Avoid anything that'll remind you what date it is — stay off social media and turn any calendars around so they're facing the wall.

Rachael Lloyd, relationship experts at eharmony, says "it may sound obvious, but the more you engage in Valentine’s Day, the more you will be impacted." "Skip over the love stories, avoid your local Pizza Express and keep off social media for the day to limit your exposure."

Get really into puzzles

If it's nigh-on impossible to ignore the fact that it's the most cursed day in the calendar, then ramp up your distraction techniques. My best friend Elisha swears by jigsaw puzzles because, she says, "they require enough of your concentration to prevent you from getting in your head too much, but not so much that you can't complete the task." Buy yourself a big bag of Doritos, a bottle of rosé, and a 1,000-piece puzzle and it'll keep you entertained and, crucially, distracted for hours on end. Alternatively, you could invite all your single friends over to your house for a games night.

Have some 'me time'

Dating and relationship coach Sami Wunder says if you're single, Valentine's Day is the perfect day for celebrating yourself. "Firstly, don’t let all the hype get to you. Decide that it will be a day for self-love," says Wunder. "So schedule in some me time. Book yourself a massage, or a manicure, or treat yourself to a nice coffee, or even put on your favourite dress and take yourself out for dinner."

Neves says if Valentine's Day is unpleasant for you, "give yourself the permission to be indulgent with whatever floats your boat." "A long bath maybe? Or have your favourite chocolates. Or put your favourite movies on and a glass of wine?" says Neves.

If you've got the day off, one thing that's guaranteed to keep you very busy is running errands. Go to the gym, clean out your fridge, buy your groceries, do your laundry, iron those clothes at the bottom of your ironing pile. In short, stay busy. At the end of the day, you'll have a big sense of accomplishment.

Have sex

People in long-term relationships aren't the only people who get to have sex on Valentine's Day. Dr. Ortega suggests calling up your fuck buddy and scheduling a hookup.

"Do you have a friend with benefits you can call on? Instead of celebrating romantic love, celebrate your sexual nature with your FWB," says Ortega. "Throw away the notion of romantic love and for a period of time, celebrate sexual love."

If you don't have a FWB, then Neves recommends having an orgasm anyway through solo sex (aka masturbation). "And make a commitment to have those on a regular basis, not just on Valentine’s Day," says Neves.

Leave the country

Not forever. Just take a break and get some space from everything. If you can afford to, treat yourself to a weekend away somewhere nice, or take a road trip to visit a friend you haven't seen for ages. About a fortnight after this whole debacle occurred, I decided to book an EasyJet flight to Germany to visit a really lovely friend of mine. It did me a world of good to get away from everything and gain some perspective on the situation. This year, I'm heading back to Germany to see the very same friend, and we'll be celebrating female friendship rather than romantic love.

Whatever you do on Feb. 14, remember that lots of people in long-term relationships couldn't give a shit about it. It's just a stupid day.

Jimmy Kimmel has a brutal response to Pam Bondi tracking lawmakers Epstein files search history

Jimmy Kimmel has already broken down Pam Bondi's chaotic Epstein files hearing, but on Thursday he spoke about another disturbing development.

"For those who were wondering when the abuse of power will end, the answer is never, probably," says Kimmel in the clip above, bringing up a shot of a piece of paper in Bondi's folder with the title "Jayapal Pramilia Search History".

"That refers to congresswoman Pramilia Jayapal, a Democrat with whom Bondi exchanged in one of the most contentious exchanges of the day," Kimmel explains. "The photo appears to show everything Jayapal searched for in the Trump-Epstein files (which again, we've trademarked). They tracked her search history in the private room at the DOJ where congresspeople are, you know, legally permitted to look at the less redacted files. And it would seem that they tracked those congresspeople without their knowledge — they looked at their search history to give Bondi an edge in the hearings. And then they're so dumb they printed it out and put a title at the top. 'Jayapal Pramilia Search History'. It's such a delicate balance between stupid and evil."

Kimmel's conclusion?

"Pam Bondi has spent more time investigating the people who are reading the Epstein files than the people who are in the Trump-Epstein files."
