Prime Day now has streaming deals: save on Paramount+, Starz, Apple TV+, and more
Prime Day isn't just a good time to score a TV or laptop at a steep discount anymore. In 2025, it's also a good time to load up your devices with streaming services.
For the first time in Prime Day history, streaming deals are aplenty, so long as you're a Prime member. (Not yet a member? Sign up here.) One of the perks of subscribing to Prime is having access to Prime Video, Amazon's own streaming service. And since Prime Day is a celebration for members, the mega retailer is offering streaming deals in the form of Prime Video add-ons. There's certainly a chance more streaming services will toss their hats in the ring to compete with Prime Video, but we're not expecting Black Friday-level streaming deals or anything.
Still, we're pretty impressed by the sheer number of streaming discounts available on day one of Prime Day. Below, we've rounded up all the best options and we'll continue adding to this list if any new streaming deals pop up.
Best Prime Day streaming deal Opens in a new window Credit: Paramount+ Paramount+ Premium $0.99/month for 2 months (save $12/month) Get Deal Why we like itNew and returning subscribers can get their first two months of Paramount+ Premium — that's the ad-free tier with Showtime — for just 99 cents per month. Typically $12.99 per month, that saves you $24 total. Even better, you can score the deal on its own through Paramount+ or as a Prime video add-on. For what it's worth, the streamer typically offers a $2.99 per month deal for six months during Black Friday. While the Prime Day discount is only valid for a third of the time, it'll cost you $2 less per month, making this a pretty epic deal.
The Premium tier gives viewers an ad-free experience (except with live TV), access to the entire Showtime library, the ability to stream CBS live and download movies and shows for offline viewing, and 4K, UHD, Dolby Vision, and HDR10 quality. The discount is only valid through July 13, so be sure to sign up ASAP. Also, remember that the cost per month will go back to full price ($12.99/month) after your two-month promotional period unless you cancel.

We've been all-eyes on Apple Watch Prime Day deals and we're finally getting lucky. If you're looking for an Apple Watch on sale, listen up.
As of July 8, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 (GPS + Cellular, 49mm) is on sale for $649 at Amazon, down from the usual price of $799. That works out to a 19% discount or a saving of $150. It's also the lowest price we've ever seen on this configuration at Amazon.
Apple deals are coming in hot on Prime Day and we're not mad in the slightest that the Apple Watch Ultra just dipped to a new record-low price. You'll need to go with the black titanium case with black ocean band to get the sale price of $649, but black matches everything.
SEE ALSO: The best early Prime Day fitness tracker deals in 2025 — shop Apple, Garmin, Fitbit, and moreCompared to the Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 focus on adventure features for those who spend their free time running, swimming, diving, cycling, and more. If you're shopping for an Apple Watch Prime Day deal this year, consider today's discount on the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Since it's already down to a record-low price of $649, buying today could mean the watch arrives well before the sale ends later this week.

Personally, I love the Fairphone range. It goes against everything that's "normal" in the smartphone ecosystem to put together a repairable, long-lasting phone. Now, an iFixit teardown reveals that the new Fairphone 6 is, indeed, every bit as repairable as you'd expect it to be.
AI slop artists are redoing the Squid Game series finale
Was the series finale of the hit South Korean Netflix show Squid Game a good one?
Depending on who you ask, not really. Judging by the endless online chatter, many viewers found the ending unsatisfying — not necessarily because it didn’t tie up loose ends (although it arguably did not), but because it left the characters in an especially grim place.
For others — particularly those with some extra time on their hands — it became the perfect excuse to fire up Google’s Veo 3 and craft an entirely new ending.
Spoilers ahead, but the ending of Squid Game Season 3 is bleak. Both this season and the one before it explored the clash of ideals between Gi-hun, the show’s protagonist, and the Frontman (Lee Byung-hun), with Season 3 ultimately siding with the latter’s nihilistic view of humanity. In the finale, Gi-hun faces an impossible choice: save himself, or sacrifice everything to protect Player 222’s newborn child during the last game. He chooses the latter, giving up his life so the baby — an unsettlingly CGI-rendered creation — can live.
Viewers didn’t love it.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.Of course, fanfiction and alternate endings are nothing new. But using AI to visualize those endings is still relatively novel — and, frankly, strange to watch. On TikTok and Instagram, creators using Google Veo 3 have been generating new versions of the finale. Some feature Gi-hun kicking the CGI baby off a platform; others depict Player 222 surviving the Jump Rope game and going on to raise her child. There's also the one where Gi-hun has a knife fight with the baby. It's definitely disturbing stuff.
There’s plenty to say about Squid Game’s ending itself — like how extending the series beyond its first season arguably undermines the show's original critique of capitalism. But there’s something else at play here: the growing urge to use AI to "fix" stories that were intentionally written to leave viewers unsettled.
Are these AI-generated videos meant to be taken seriously? Not really. But they’re also a glimpse of where things are heading—toward a future where anyone can easily remake or reshape a story to fit their own preferred version of events.
Whether that’s exciting or unsettling depends on how you feel about the game itself.
The best Prime Day Bluetooth speaker deals you can shop a day early
Having a quality speaker to crank the songs of the summer is never a bad idea, especially if you plan on hosting parties, hitting the beach, or heading out on a camping trip. Fortunately, if you're lacking in the Bluetooth speaker department, now is a great time to score one for a sweet deal — because it's Prime Day, baby.
Prime Day formally falls on July 8 through 11 this year, but Amazon started dropping prices on top audio brands like Sony, JBL, and Anker Soundcore hella early. We expect the list to grow exponentially once the event officialy kicks off, but if you want to shop a bit early, have at it. Some Bluetooth speakers are already down to record lows.
We'll be tracking the best Bluetooth speaker deals throughout Prime Day and updating this page with the latest and greatest prices. If you don't see anything that catches your eye just yet, be sure to check back as the official sale kicks off.
Note: Deals with a 🔥 next to them have dropped to record-low prices.

Most AirPods are at or near their lowest prices ever the day before Prime Day
Odds are, if you're in the Apple ecosystem, you're at least curious if AirPods are worth checking out.
Prime Day is a great time to satisfy that curiosity. This year, the mega-sale will last four days, from July 8 to July 11. But after years of covering the sale, the Mashable shopping team knows that the run-up can often bring deals worth shopping ahead of time.
SEE ALSO: The 20+ best Apple deals live ahead of Prime DayThough deals were off to a slow start, the day before Prime Day ramped up the price drops on AirPods. At their prices as of July 7, we recommend the deals on the AirPods Max, AirPods Pro, and AirPods 4. Check out the details below — and check out more headphones deals live ahead of Prime Day.

Check out Mashable's full review of the AirPods Pro (USB-C).
The day before Prime Day, the AirPods Pro dropped another $10 in price, putting them down to $159.99. With this deal, the Pros are nearly to their record-low price of $153.99 we last saw in December. While the actual sale dates may bring a return to that price, or even a new record low, $159.99 is still an excellent price point for our favorite AirPods. Plus, buying early gives you the advantage of beating a potential sell-out of the AirPods if they drop to a new low price (which we have seen happen in sales past). With excellent sound quality and active noise cancellation, these are a solid pair of earbuds to pick up, sale or not.

Early Prime Day 2025 Lego deals are starting to build up
Happy almost Prime Day to all who celebrate. While it formally falls on July 8 through 11, Amazon dropped prices ahead of the sale on the usual suspects (Apple, laptops, TVs, headphones, etc.) as well as categories you might not expect, like Lego building sets.
If you're looking for a creative way to kill some time and beat the heat this summer, or a fun gift for practically anyone in your life (kids and adults), you really can't go wrong with a Lego set. There's something for everyone, from kits that help toddlers build critical thinking skills to gorgeous floral kits that double as decor. And the best part is you don't have to pay full price, as lots of different building sets are on sale for Prime Day.
SEE ALSO: The best early Prime Day deals under $50: Fire TV sticks, indoor cameras, and moreMake note that many Lego sets may seem like a good deal, but they've actually been sitting at the same "deal" price for five months or more. For example, this Lego Creator 3-in-1 Flowers in Watering Can set looks appealing at 20% off, but according to price-tracking site Camelcamelcamel, it's been chilling at $23.99 since last spring. On that note, we've only chosen Lego sets that are newly discounted — so you can be sure you're actually getting a good deal.
We're keeping a running list of the best Prime Day Lego deals below, and we'll update it with any new deals as they pop up.

We're hoping to see the price drop even further, but at over $20 off, it's already a pretty solid deal for what you get: a 2,316-piece building set that constructs a 3D Lego wall art homage to one of the most beloved paintings. The set is a collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and really captures Van Gogh's colors and brushstrokes through creative building techniques. When you finish building, you'll have a gorgeous piece of art for your home — all for just under $150.

Even at full price, the M4 MacBook Air is an impressively good value, especially considering its brand. For anyone who doesn't need the heavier specs of the Pro (and the additional literal weight that comes along with that), the Air is a great machine. It can handle audio and some video editing, most tasks students will need it for, and general day-to-day tasks with ease.
At $150 off, the 13-inch Air with 256GB of storage offers an especially good value. It's a price point that might be bested come Prime Day in favor of the $829 record-low price we saw it briefly hit in late-June. But even if it doesn't, this deal is still a great one to pick up.

Even with the many noise-cancelling earbuds options on the market, the AirPods Pro remain one of the best choices for folks in the Apple ecosystem. The quick pairing can't be beat, and they are a true plug and play option (especially because they don't come with a companion app). The noise cancelling is some of the best you'll find on earbuds, alongside its excellent audio. Mashable's Stan Schroeder gave these earbuds a 4.1/5 in his review, noting that he'd be likely to take them on a plane over over-ear headphones, and writing of their sound "[they] did an equally good job with complex jazz performances and very heavy guitar tunes."

Check out Mashable's full review of the iPad mini.
If you know you'll mostly use your iPad to watch shows, videos, and read, you should seriously consider the iPad mini. Clocking in at 8.3 inches, this aptly named tablet is easy to hold in your hand for long periods of time, making it an especially great option for someone who wants an e-reader with some versatility (or with vibrant colors). Even though it's not powered by Apple's latest chipset, it doesn't need to be for more casual usage.
For anyone who doesn't need a tablet as powerful as a laptop, this ultraportable choice is well worth considering. And at just $399, the iPad mini is back down to its lowest price ever.

Amazon warns shoppers about email scam ahead of Prime Day
It's almost Amazon Prime Day, which means good news and bad news for Prime members.
The good news is shoppers with an Amazon Prime membership will get access to lots of good deals. The bad news is they'll be targeted by scammers looking to take advantage of the major shopping event.

"We've recently noticed an increase in customers reporting fake emails about Amazon Prime membership subscriptions," said the notice. Scammers claiming to be from Amazon are sending fake emails saying customers' Amazon Prime subscription will automatically renew "at an unexpected price," according to the email. The scam might include personal information to appear more credible and "may also include a 'cancel subscription' button leading to a fake Amazon login page."
A quick search on the Better Business Bureau's scam database shows recent reports of similar Amazon Prime scams. Some reports said customers received scam emails to update their payment information for membership renewal, claiming the card on file was no longer valid. Others reported getting scam emails urging them to renew their Amazon Prime membership or update their payment info even though they didn't even have a Prime subscription. Mashable has reached out to Amazon for more details, and will update this story with a response.
It's not really a surprise that scams spike during Amazon's annual Prime Day event, which this year is actually four days long.
"Major shopping events like Prime Day create perfect storms for cybercriminals," said Marijus Briedis, CTO of cybersecurity company NordVPN. "Scammers know that shoppers' excitement and urgency around limited-time deals make them more susceptible to clicking on malicious links or sharing personal information without proper verification."
NordVPN found more than 120,000 malicious websites impersonating Amazon in the past two months, with the vast majority of those sites being phishing sites designed to steal personal information like login credentials.
Shoppers should be extra vigilant during Prime Day. The email from Amazon told customers to only verify their Prime membership through the Amazon mobile app or by navigating directly to Amazon.com. It also said to monitor bank statements for any unauthorized transactions if you clicked on any suspicious links. General best practices include setting up two-factor authentication, and confirming legitimate messages from Amazon by checking your account in the Message Center. You can also report suspicious activity to Amazon on its designated support page.
Android's Photo Picker Is Getting a Helpful Upgrade
Android users are getting a big update to how they pick and share photos and videos. Google is going to add a much-requested search bar to its Photo Picker, and eventually, a date-based browsing tool will also be released. These changes will make it easier to find specific files to share.
