TeamViewer: support for Windows, Mac… and Linux

So, like many of you, I have to provide some tech support to friends and family on a regular basis. For the last few years, I have been using TeamViewer for remote control, simply because it is fast, reliable, user friendly and free.
However, until now, it required for me to use one of my Windows machines to provide the support, or to buy a Mac.
Just for fun, I decided I was going to give it a try on a Linux (Ubuntu 8.10) machine which I was running at the time of the last support call.
Having run the latest updates, downloaded and installed Wine and TeamViewer setup, I decided to give it a try. Ran the setup, initialized the client and voila. I now have TeamViewer in Ubuntu:
