Despite the name, the UGREEN NASync DXP6800 Ultra is not among the most powerful NAS that UGREEN sells (far from it), but it does represent the pinnacle of what most of us might realistically ever need. Portable power stations can be awesome when grid power fails. Instead of sitting in the dark worrying about a depleting phone battery, we can recharge gadgets and keep lights on thanks to the help of a power station.

Jackery has a great lineup of options, like the Jackery FridgeGuard, a model that's specially designed to keep the refrigerator cooling. But the brand's latest releases focus on home power backup with a special collaboration with the American Red Cross.

Power outages are a common occurrence in situations where the Red Cross comes to assist. Natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes are both instances when grid power fails and the Red Cross comes in to offer help. Naturally, this collaboration with Jackery focuses on models that excel with power outages when it matters most.

Jackery mentions these models offer critical power during disasters to aid the community and first responders. In fact, Jackery is donating 10 percent of all Red Cross model profits to emergency response workers.

The collab includes three models, and Jackery launched the two smaller models today. The largest, the HomePower 3600 Plus Red Cross Edition, will begin shipping in early November. Here are all the details to note about each model.

Jackery HomePower 1000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition

The smallest model included in the collab is the HomePower 1000 Plus v2. Of course, it comes in the great red colorway Jackery chose for these models, but it also comes with great features for us to use at home during outages and for first responders to use during emergencies.

With 1,024Wh of battery capacity, it's ideal for shorter home power outages or packing along for a weekend of camping outdoors. Thanks to its 1,800W output and 3,600W peak, it's also awesome for using with power tools. This model also comes with Jackery's Storm alerts and emergency power reserve. When the Jackery app's location services get notice of severe weather in the forecast, it'll automatically charge the power station to 100 percent.

Doubling the power capacity of the HomePower 1000 Plus v2, the HP 2000 v2 packs in 2,048Wh, which is great for longer outages. Anthropic's Claude is reportedly down on Tuesday morning.

More than 10,000 users began reporting issues shortly after 10 a.m. ET, according to Downdetector.

Elevated errors were confirmed on Claude.ai, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Claude's API, according to Anthropic's status page.

Users attempting to use the services "may see failed requests, errors loading or sending conversations, or be asked to sign in again," according to Anthropic. However, retrying may succeed, the company notes.

A decade ago, when my daughter was still very little, I had a genius idea: I was going to watch content on my TV, but I’d use my headphones instead of speakers so I wouldn’t wake the baby. The key, or so I thought, would be the ability to quickly switch from one to the other as needed, as watching an entire movie with headphones can be a little tiresome. 

As simple as that sounds, it didn’t really work. My TV didn’t support Bluetooth, and a wired connection required a very long cable that constantly got in the way. Later, TVs started getting Bluetooth, but connecting headphones always required an extra step, took a little too long, and the sound often lagged behind what was happening on screen. 

A few days ago, Sonos came up with a solution: The new Sonos Ace Ultra headphones can take over the audio from a compatible Sonos soundbar or speaker connected to the TV (in my case, Sonos provided a Sonos Beam Ultra soundbar). It's called headphone linking.

How Sonos headphone linking works

Clicking and holding the volume button on the Sonos Ace Ultra headphones magically switches the audio from the soundbar to the headphones. And it wasn't just regular stereo; I immediately got the whole, immersive surround experience in the headphones, complete with head tracking so the sounds always came from the right spot.

(Note: The original Sonos Ace had a similar feature called TV Swap, but headphone linking expands this to cover any sound source, be it TV audio or music.)

If I clicked that same button again, the audio would be sent back to the soundbar. I could also control what’s playing through Sonos’s app, but the ability to do it with a click of a button was the key part of the experience. 

Immersing yourself in a game or a movie is nice, but you probably don’t want to be cut off from all sounds in the household, especially if you have a small child. For that purpose, Sonos Ace Ultra’s Aware mode did the trick; I could (quietly!) listen to the sounds coming from my TV, but I also heard when someone called or rang the doorbell.

All of this sounds amazingly simple, but it's really not. Sonos had to add WiFi support to its headphones, as using Bluetooth alone isn’t enough to fix the occasional lag and connection issues.

In my testing, Sonos headphone linking didn’t always work perfectly, though sometimes it was my home WiFi to blame. Sometimes, the switching wouldn’t work until I mashed the button a few times. For the feature to work as intended, you need to have your entire system connected to the same WiFi network, and that includes the TV, the soundbar, the headphones, and your phone. That’s fairly typical in a Sonos household, so it wasn’t a big issue for me. And it’s worth noting that Sonos marks this feature as “early access,” and points out that it’s opt-in, provided as is, and subject to changes in the future. 

Still, I’m happy to report that I finally got the feature I wanted all those years ago, and my family is happy that they don’t have to hear, to quote my daughter, “whatever weird stuff dad always listens to.”

I bought my Lenovo Legion Y520 in mid-2018, roughly a year after Lenovo released it. At the time, its specs made it a perfectly capable gaming laptop. It was never particularly light or refined, though, and the mediocre speakers and usual gaming-laptop quirks were always part of the package.

Marshall is shrinking its party speaker lineup to make it a whole lot easier to bring big sound on the go. The audio brand just unveiled the Bromley 150, a compact wireless speaker designed to bring concert-style sound and lighting anywhere you go.

Joining the larger Bromley 450 and 750 models, the new 150 chops the weight down to just 14 pounds — roughly half the weight of the 450 — without stripping away the features that make party speakers fun.

Santa Monica Studio just pulled back the curtain on the next major chapter in the Norse saga, giving PlayStation fans a full breakdown of what to expect when preorders open today. God of War Laufey officially launches for the PS5 on Feb. 16, 2027. Preorders go live on Sept. 29, giving players their first chance to lock in physical and digital copies, along with extra in-game loot.

If you reserve any edition of the game before launch, you will receive a downloadable preorder pack containing the Last Wish Armor Set, the Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance cosmetic, and an in-game resource pack to jumpstart your adventure. Santa Monica Studio also dropped fresh gameplay footage showing off Faye's main weapon: the Serpent Bow. This enchanted weapon transforms on the fly, making it easy to switch between sniping enemies from a distance and beating them up close.

How the bow fires depends entirely on how far you pull the aim trigger:

• Full-aim mode — Squeezing the trigger all the way down zooms in for extra accuracy and distance. Striking specific body parts slows enemies down, and you can charge up to five arrows at once to unleash a powerful volley.

• Half-aim mode — Lightly pulling the trigger lets you fire off quick bursts of arrows on the move. It is built for close-range fights, letting you pop enemies up into the air and keep combo chains going as you swap weapons.

You can customize the bow using swapable Scales — like the Dark Alchemy Scales included in the Digital Deluxe Edition — which change both the weapon's appearance and its gameplay perks. We have two Windows gaming laptops in the house, and both of them are hooked up to TVs. For the most part, this works well, but even though the laptops and TVs are all different brands and models, I keep getting stability issues using a direct HDMI connection.
