The best deals from Apples Black Friday sale: Score savings on AirPods, Apple TV, and gift cards
Cyber Week is one of the rare times of year when the Apple Store hosts a sale — sort of. Instead of offering cash discounts on its devices, the tech retailer simply doles out free gifts cards with eligible purchases.
Apple's 2025 Black Friday and Cyber Monday Shopping Event will run from Friday, Nov. 28 through Monday Dec. 1, and it's a little bit more tempting than usual. Shoppers can earn up to $250 worth of free gift cards when they buy one of its gadgets direct, up from $200 in 2024 and 2023. Free money is always nice, of course, but third party retailers' Black Friday price cuts on AirPods, MacBooks, iPads, and Apple Watches are far more competitive. Plus, many newer devices are excluded from the Apple Store's promotion.
Right now, there are only five Apple devices and accessories that I would recommend buying on sale from Apple itself.
The Apple Store's 2025 Black Friday and Cyber Monday dealsApple's free gift card offers for Black Friday and Cyber Monday range from $25 to $250, depending on the product. They can only be redeemed on future purchases from the Apple Store in person or online:
AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with ANC — $25 Apple gift card
AirPods Pro 3 — $50 Apple gift card
AirPods Max — $75 Apple gift card
Apple Watch SE 3 and Apple Watch Series 11 — $50 Apple gift card
iPad Air (11- and 13-inch M3) — $100 Apple gift card
iPad (A16) and iPad mini — $50 Apple gift card
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus — $75 Apple gift card
iPhone 16e — $50 Apple gift card
MacBook Air (13-inch M4) — $175 Apple gift card
MacBook Air (15-inch M4) — $200 Apple gift card
MacBook Pro (14- and 16-inch M4 Pro and M4 Max) — $250 Apple gift card
Mac mini — $100 Apple gift card
iMac — $150 Apple gift card
Apple TV 4K — $25 Apple gift card
HomePod — $50 Apple gift card
Beats Studio Pro, Solo 4, Studio Buds +, and Powerbeats Pro 2 — $50 Apple gift card
Beats Pill — $25 Apple gift card
Magic Keyboard Folio for iPad (A16) — $25 Apple gift card
Magic Keyboard for iPad Air (11- and 13-inch) — $25 Apple gift card
Apple Pencil Pro — $25 Apple gift card
Most of the Apple Store's offers pale in comparison to other retailers' cash discounts on its devices (with five notable exceptions — more on them shortly). For instance, Amazon and Walmart have the AirPods 4 marked down to $69 during their Black Friday sales, which is a $60 saving on list price. If you buy them directly from Apple instead, you're only getting $25 back.
Here's another example: Amazon and Best Buy are both selling the M4 MacBook Airs for $250 off — the 13-inch model is $749 (normally $999), while the 15-incher is $949 (normally $1,199). It's silly to buy either size directly from the Apple Store if you're only saving $175 or $200 apiece, respectively.
SEE ALSO: The 30+ best Black Friday Apple deals: Record-low prices on MacBooks and $69 AirPodsEven the high-end MacBook Pros that come with Apple's highest free gift card offer have steeper discounts elsewhere. The M4 Pro and M4 Max models are anywhere from $250 to $500 off across Amazon and Best Buy.
It's also crucial to know that Apple Store's Cyber Week savings event doesn't include some of newest products, including the M5 MacBook Pro, M5 iPad Pro, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Beats PowerBeats Fit earbuds. The AirTag, HomePod mini, Mac Studio, and Studio Display are also omitted. Third-party retailers are the only places to get any sorts of deals on most of them. (The PowerBeats Fit are the sole product I couldn't find on sale anywhere.)
5 Black Friday Apple Store deals worth buyingI've cross-checked all of the products featured in Apple's Cyber Week Savings Event and found five instances where its gift card offer was better than a retailer's cash discount. (The rest are all matched or beaten.) There is a chance they'll get cheaper at third-party retailers on Black Friday proper, so consider waiting to buy them just in case.
The AirPods Pro 3 are currently $219.99 (or $30 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. They come with a free $50 gift card at the Apple Store.
The $149 Apple TV 4K (3rd Gen, WiFi + Ethernet) was on sale for $99.99 at Costco, but it's now sold out there. (The deal was limited to Costco members, anyway.) It's full price everywhere else along with the WiFi-only model. The Apple Store will give you a free $25 gift card for buying either one direct.
The HomePod (2nd Gen) is marked down to $269.99 at Best Buy, which is a $29.01 discount. Meanwhile, it nets you a free $50 gift card via the Apple Store.
The Beats Studio Buds + are $149.95 at Amazon and $149.99 at Best Buy, a $20-ish savings. At the Apple Store, they come with a free $50 gift card.
Finally, Amazon has the M3 iPad Air's Magic Keyboard on sale for $247.50 in the 11-inch size and $299.99 in the 13-inch size, saving shoppers just $21.50 and $19.01, respectively. The Apple Store throws in a $25 gift card if you buy either one there instead.

SAVE UP TO $96: Through Dec. 1, new subscribers can get the Disney+ and Hulu bundle (with ads) for only $4.99 per month for 12 months. You could pay just $0.99 per month for a whole year of Hulu (with ads). We were really hoping to see this deal make a triumphant return in 2025, but it's looking increasingly unlikely.
That sucks, but you can still save on Hulu in Black Friday 2025.
For Black Friday 2025, new subscribers can sign up for the Disney+ and Hulu bundle (with ads) for $4.99 per month for 12 months (up $2 from last year's deal). Earlier this year, the list price jumped from $10.99 to $12.99 per month, so you'll still save $8 per month or $96 total with this year's discount. It's still a great deal, all things considered.

That saves you $60 total for the year.
This offer is only valid for new and eligible returning Hulu and Disney+ subscribers (basically anyone who hasn't been a Hulu or Disney+ subscriber in the past month) through Dec. 1 (Cyber Monday). So if you want to get double the streaming for less than half the cost, jump on it ASAP. Just remember, once the year is up, you'll be charged full cost (currently $12.99/month) unless you cancel.
Hulu and Disney+ both have pretty expansive catalogs featuring award-winning original series and a boatload of movies fresh from the theater. That includes some of our favorites from the year, including Dying for Sex, Andor, Alien: Earth, The Life of Chuck, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and so much more. Psst: Taylor Swift's new docuseries will also be on Disney+ in December. Getting unlimited to access to both of these libraries for only $5 each month is absolutely worth it in our eyes — even with some ads sprinkled in.

If you opt for the Essential plan, you'll save $5 per month or about 63% total. If you choose the Premium plan (which we highly recommend), you'll save $10 per month or about 77% total. So, this could be your best opportunity to watch new Paramount Pictures theatrical releases (The Naked Gun, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning), Paramount+ Originals (Landman, Mayor of Kingstown), or Showtime hits (Yellowjackets, The Curse, The Chi), for cheap. Come January, it'll cost you $8.99 or $13.99 per month. We also highly suggest locking in an annual plan before the price hike hits if you want to save some extra dough.
Paramount+ is also home to local NFL AFC games on Sundays, UEFA Champions League matches, UFC (coming soon), CBS originals like Survivor and Ghosts, and old Nickelodeon and MTV shows. Personally, I'd sign up for the Premium plan over the Essential plan, as it also unlocks the full Showtime library and ad-free viewing.

Today's NYT Strands hints are easy if you're an appreciative person.
Strands, the New York Times' elevated word-search game, requires the player to perform a twist on the classic word search. Words can be made from linked letters — up, down, left, right, or diagonal, but words can also change direction, resulting in quirky shapes and patterns. Every single letter in the grid will be part of an answer. There's always a theme linking every solution, along with the "spangram," a special, word or phrase that sums up that day's theme, and spans the entire grid horizontally or vertically.

Black Friday season is in full swing and Amazon is already showing off with its epic deals. If your inbox is giving you hives from the influx of deals from every retailer, we're breaking down all of the details of Amazon's sale for you below — from when the sale starts and ends to what deals are worth adding to your cart.
Amazon Black Friday deals at a glance: Sony WH-1000XM5 Headphones $248 (save $151.99 + get $30 Amazon credit with code SONYX30) Get Deal Amazon Kindle $79.99 (save $30) Get Deal Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 $349 (save $450) Get Deal Ninja Slushi $269.99 (save $100) Get Deal Sony ULT Field 5 $194.95 (save $155.04) Get Deal Amazon 65-inch QLED Mini-LED 4K Fire TV $894.99 (save $195) Get DealBlack Friday is one of, if not the biggest shopping event of the year. What used to be a single day on the Friday after Thanksgiving has turned into a full-blown season that starts far before the holiday itself and extends through December. But we're not complaining. Having more time to sort out your finances and shop for less is a blessing in a time when everything is outrageously expensive.
Unlike its major competitors Walmart, Best Buy, and Target, Amazon doesn't have a physical storefront where you can wait in line to score doorbuster deals. And yet, it typically ends up having the best prices of every retailer regardless of it being online only. And honestly, nothing beats shopping from your couch with a turkey hangover on Black Friday.
Here's everything you need to know about the Amazon Black Friday 2025 sale, including the best deals already live.
When is Amazon's Black Friday sale? The mega-retailer's Black Friday sale kicked off early on Thursday, Nov. 20 and will run through the end of the day Friday, Nov. 28 with plenty of deals on offer throughout. The banners will then switch over from Black Friday to Cyber Monday language on Saturday, Nov. 29 (yes, Amazon does do Cyber Monday as well) and the Cyber Monday sale will run through Monday, Dec. 1.
Best Amazon Black Friday ad highlightsAmazon doesn't release a traditional Black Friday ad like its competitors. Instead, it announces its plans for Black Friday in the form of a press release — and then proceeds to drop some of the best deals of the season when the time comes.
Officially, these are the categories Amazon highlighted in its press release, but it doesn't even include some of the top deals we've seen thus far (read on to shop those). Regardless, here's what Amazon's ad highlights include for its Black Friday sale:
Up to 55% off select home products from Shark and kitchen appliances from Ninja
Up to 50% off Amazon devices like the Echo Dot Max, Fire TV Stick lineup, Fire tablets, and Kindles
Up to 50% off electronics from JBL and Canon
Up to 45% off Bose audio
Up to 40% off kitchen items from Vitamix, Staub, Nespresso, and more
Up to 40% on select floorcare from Bissell and iRobot
Up to 40% off home entertainment from Hisense, TCL, and LG
Up to 40% on toys from Melissa & Doug, Little Tykes, Play-Doh, and Nerf
Up to 35% on select Samsung and Google products
Up to 80% off Kindle books and up to 65% off physical books
Amazon's Black Friday event is always packed with deals that range from today's best tech to kitchen appliances to toys all the kids want under the tree this year. This year is no different — we're already seeing record-low prices, beating or at least matching previous lows that we usually see during Prime Day events. We've rounded up some of the best deals we've seen at Amazon for Black Friday 2025 below, but be sure to follow along with our shopping team's full coverage for a wider range of products.

On first glance, a deal might look great, but it's worth a few extra seconds of research. To confirm you're actually getting a good deal, head to Camelcamelcamel to check on a product's price history. Just copy the Amazon URL into the price tracker and you'll get full stats. On occasion, Amazon can make a deal look better than it actually is by inflating the list price. On the flip side, we've also seen Amazon post the list price as something lower than the recommended MSRP which can spell an awesome deal for Amazon shoppers.

Seth Meyers mocks Trumps Truth Social rant about the NYT
Another day, another Truth Social rant from the president.
In the Late Night clip above Seth Meyers runs through the latest headlines, one of which from the NYT focussed on the "signs of fatigue" Trump is reportedly experiencing in office as he grows older. Needless to say, the president wasn't happy — but Meyers was.
"President Trump criticised the New York Times in a post on Truth Social today for publishing an article that argues he has slowed down due to ageing, and called the newspaper a 'cheap RAG'," says Meyers. "And nothing says 'I'm not old' like calling a newspaper a cheap rag. That's definitely how young people talk. 'Those muckrakers!'"
