Hide a single user account from the Welcome Screen

Still playing around w/ all my computers... Here is a quick trick I had to implement this AM: showing only the limited accounts which I have created and hide a few specific ones from the default Windows VISTA login screen.

By simply adding the username of the account to a special list in the registry, it will disappear from the Welcome Screen. For each account Just create a DWORD registry value at the following location:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE \Microsoft \Windows NT \CurrentVersion \Winlogon \SpecialAccounts \UserList]

At first glance, Office 2010 looks pretty cool and Outlook finally got the same "RibbonX". The question now is: "Why 2 InfoPath?"

Windows 2008 Server and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0

Back in the days, V-Pulse started as a SharePoint blog... Given that a few years have passed, a new version of Windows server has been released and WSS is now in SP2, I thought I would give it another try.

So far, so good for the installation...

Will look at what it takes to get it configured and available....

Google Sync Beta uses Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync

Further to my previous post, it seems that Google Sync is made available using the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync technology.

Microsoft allows you to download 4 VirtualPC images for Internet Application Compatibility

With the Internet Explorer Application Compatibility VPC images, Microsoft is offering developers no less than four free copies of Windows packaged as Virtual Hard Disk Images and designed to integrate with the company's free virtualization offerings. The four VHD downloads feature a new release date, just ahead of the end of 2008, although the launched products are similar to those made available in August 2008, following the availability of Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2.
