Apple iOS 27: Everything we know so far
Apple just launched iOS 26 a couple of months ago, but we're already starting to hear things about iOS 27.
The operating system for iPhones will get another big update in 2026, as it always does. It might be a ways off, but that doesn't mean we can't start talking about it now. Here is everything we know about iOS 27 so far.
SEE ALSO: iOS 26.2 will remove one feature in parts of the world iOS 27: Announcement and release datesApple always outlines the next iteration of iOS at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, which is typically held in June of every year. As of right now, there is no reason to expect the routine to change with iOS 27. For now, we should assume WWDC will still be held in June of 2026, and that is where Apple will show iOS 27 off for the first time.
As for when it'll come out, Apple has traditionally launched every new iOS iteration in the September following WWDC. It's timed to come out alongside new iPhones. Again, there's no reason to believe this will change at all in 2026, so operate as if you'll have access to iOS 27 starting in September of 2026.
iOS 27: New featuresAs for what iOS 27 will bring to the table, there isn't much info out there yet. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, a prominent Apple reporter, did share some tidbits in his latest Power On newsletter, though.
iOS 27 will not prioritize flashy new features, Gurman reports. Instead, it will focus on performance improvements, with some AI enhancements to go along with those. Apple reportedly wants to improve the software in order to pave the way for future hardware, such as a potential foldable device. There are two rumored AI features for iOS 27 at the moment: an AI health coach, and AI web search. Beyond that, we don't know much.
However, we will surely hear more about iOS 27 over the next 10 months or so. Patience is key, folks.

You must think I've lost the plot suggesting that you spend $399 on a set of hair straighteners, right? The thing is, I used to have ridiculously long hair and had a pair of straighteners, then another set and another. Why? Because I wanted to look awesome playing gigs for one, but mainly because I always went for budget options that used to burn out my hair and turn it into straw. This Dyson effort is built to last and does everything bar cleaning the dishes: we're talking curls, waves and silky smooth straight hair. It's also cordless and provides around 30 mins of use on a single charge, with 70 mins to charge to 100%. Not using it for a few mins in the middle of styling? Just dock it and style for longer. You won't have to layer the process as much either thanks to it's flexible plates, reducing the amount of heat and 50% less breakage vs. traditional straighteners. Winner.

This FlexFusion set is premium tech that's good value for money. The base unit is a hair dryer with an adjustable head and attachment to turn it into a fantastic heat brush, ceramic hair styler, auto-wrap curler and concentrator. It's great for various medium to long hair styles and chaps who need an all-in-one solution for styling their beard with no nonsense. There's also a "Scalp Shield" feature that automatically adjusts the heat FlexFusion puts out to protect the skin under your hair. It's designed from the group up to dry and style hair from getting out of the shower and a quick towel dry too.

Even Dyson likes multi-functional tech: the Airwrap multi-styler is great for brushing and curling with some clever features. The barrel dries and styles using air, creating a dual direction cyclone of air that automatically flows the same way when brushing. It rocks a V9 Dyson Digital Motor that clocks up to 110,000 rpm, which in turn creates the "Coanda" effect the Airwrap product line is built around. It measures airflow temperatures 40 times a second, making sure you get heat distribution and don't damage your hair. There's also three airflow speeds and precise heat settings with a constant cool shot to boot.

Having a beard doesn't always prompt people to buy an electric shaver, let alone buy a premium one, but when you're like me and get a rash for even looking at a razor, they're worth every penny. I personally use an electric shaver to keep my neck, upper cheeks and by dome looking sharp, so the last thing I need is painful shaver rash. This is a perfect sollution thanks to a few features: the main one being Philips SenseIQ Pro technology. It's powered by AI and features five shaviung modes for a customized shave by using intelligent sensores to feedback how your shave is going to the i9000 Prestige Ultra. You also get a deepclean massager that (shockingly) massages, cleanses and preps skin with waved silicone bristles, with the three heads shaped to provide presision shaving and constant skin contact.

SEE ALSO: Mashable will send the best Black Friday deals directly to your phone — how it worksNomad's eSIM plans allow you to stay connected in over 200 locations around the world, which is very good news for frequent travelers. You can choose between Local, Regional, or Global eSIMS to find the best plan for you. And if you're wondering if your device is eSIM compatible, Nomad offers a breakdown of supported devices that work with an eSIM.
An eSIM is digitally activated, allowing you to swap between carriers without having to swap out a physical card. This means you can have a second cell number active on your phone, allowing you to have a foreign number that can access data in your destination country, which is certainly one less thing to worry about while traveling. Nomad features a full breakdown of what an eSIM is so you can learn even more about what differentiates this digital option from its physical counterpart.
Don't let data get in the way of your holiday travel plans this year. Set yourself up with an eSIM plan from Nomad that's 30% off with code MASH30.

Today's NYT Strands hints are easy if you're always at the stables.
Strands, the New York Times' elevated word-search game, requires the player to perform a twist on the classic word search. Words can be made from linked letters — up, down, left, right, or diagonal, but words can also change direction, resulting in quirky shapes and patterns. Every single letter in the grid will be part of an answer. There's always a theme linking every solution, along with the "spangram," a special, word or phrase that sums up that day's theme, and spans the entire grid horizontally or vertically.

20+ early Black Friday deals on power stations: Shop Jackery, Anker, Bluetti, and more
Scouring the early Black Friday sales this year has been interesting. While some categories are off to a slow, underwhelming start (I’m looking at you, Ninja), the portable power station market is fully going for it.
SEE ALSO: Black Friday 2025: Live updates on the latest deals from Amazon, Target, Walmart, and moreI’m not a doomsday prepper, but I am someone who lives in a storm-prone area where the power goes out if the wind blows the wrong way. So, I track these prices religiously. And right now, we're seeing deals that match, and in some cases actually beat, the record lows we saw during Prime Day. If you’ve been stressed about keeping your devices charged during a winter storm or just want a reliable backup for camping, now's the time to shop.
The discounts are surprisingly good this year, with major brands like Bluetti, Jackery, EF EcoFlow, and Anker offering 40% to 60% off. Even DJI, which is usually pretty stubborn with its pricing, is getting in on the action.

I love a heavy-duty home backup system, but I am not trying to haul a 50-pound generator around unless I absolutely have to. For camping trips, beach days, or just keeping my iPad alive during a spotty power outage, I want something I can carry in one hand.
As of Nov. 21, the Jackery Explorer 240D is on sale for $132 at Amazon. That's a 37% discount (or a $77 price cut) off its $209 list price, and it's the best deal we've seen on this specific model. If you want to save even more, Jackery is offering an extra $200 off to customers who subscribe to its newsletter, but that coupon is only valid on orders over $2,000, so it won't apply to this deal specifically.
The 240D uses a LiFePO4 battery, which means it has a 10-year lifespan and can handle 4,000+ charge cycles (the old ones could only do about 500). It packs 256Wh of capacity into a tiny 4.85-pound box, so you can fast-charge your laptop, phone, or drone directly via its 140W USB-C ports.
Just keep in mind: This is a "power bank" style station, meaning it has USB ports but no AC wall outlet. It’s designed for devices, not appliances. But for $132, it’s the perfect "just in case" gadget to keep in your closet.

If you need something with a bit more oomph than the Jackery 240D but aren't trying to spend $1,000, this is the sweet spot. The Anker Solix C1000 hits that perfect middle ground for capacity and portability, and right now, it's half off.
As of Nov. 21, the Anker Solix C1000 is on sale for $397 at Amazon. That's a 50% discount (or a $402 price cut) off its $799 list price. It's also the lowest price we've seen on this model since Prime Day (it was $399 in October).
The Solix C1000 is a Mashable Choice Award winner. Mashable's Lauren Allain tested this unit extensively, from powering an outdoor movie night to keeping her essentials running during a power outage, and called it "simply perfect." She specifically praised its "awesome price-to-features ratio" and its incredibly fast recharge time (0 to 100% in under an hour!).
With 1,056Wh of capacity and 1,800W of output, it can handle everything from a CPAP machine (for 18+ hours) to a full-size fridge (for up to 14 hours). And if you decide later that you need even more juice, you can double its capacity with an expansion battery.

Here's why you might choose this one over the others: It has a slightly larger battery (1,152Wh) and a specialized "Power Lifting" mode. This boosts the output to 2,700W to handle resistive loads, meaning you can run high-wattage essentials like a space heater or electric kettle without tripping the unit. "Bifacial" just means it captures sunlight on both sides (ambient light on the back), which EcoFlow says can increase energy capture by up to 25%. Combined with the Delta 2's fast charging and 1,800W output, this is a turnkey solution for camping or emergency backup.
