The Heated Rivalry soundtrack is coming to vinyl and CD: Where to buy every variant

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 17:21

The viral bops from Heated Rivalry are finally getting a physical release. Billboard reports that the soundtrack album to Crave's hit gay hockey show will drop this summer on CD and vinyl (in two different variants, no less).

Preorders open this Thursday, March 26 through Milan Records, a Los Angeles-based record label. Fans can sign up for availablity updates on its website. Pricing hasn't been announced yet.

The album includes 11 songs that were featured in the first season of Heated Rivalry, including Wet Leg’s "mangetout," t.A.T.u's "All the Things She Said," and Harrison's clubby cover of the latter. It also comes with a previously unreleased bonus track called "One Soul (Cottage Mix)," written by Peter Peter, the Canadian composer behind the show's original score.

That full 34-track score will be available on the CD, while the vinyl version has a selection of 18 tracks from it. Both formats will ship with a double-sided poster and liner notes by Heated Rivalry showrunner Jacob Tierney. The vinyl includes two extra trading cards and double-sided disc sleeves printed with imagery from the show, making it a true collector's item.

Based on author Rachel Reid’s bestselling Game Changers book series, Heated Rivalry follows a secret romance between Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), two fictional rival hockey players. The show debuted on HBO Max and the Canadian streaming service Crave last November to surprise success, spawning a passionate fandom and turning its leading men into superstars overnight.

Season two of Heated Rivalry will begin production this August, a month before Reid releases her seventh Game Changers installment, Unrivaled. It's now available for preorder.

The Heated Rivalry soundtrack CD features two discs printed with shirtless photos of Rozanov and Hollander. The vinyl comes in two variants that are identical save for their pressing colors:

  • The "Montreal vs. Boston Edition" includes two-toned LPs pressed in red/blue and black/yellow, representing the show's two main hockey teams.

  • The "Icy Inferno" variant has two clear LPs.

The CD and the Montreal vs. Boston Edition vinyl will both be widely available at major retailers and indie record stores. The Icy Inferno vinyl variant will only be sold through Milan Records and Sony Music Canada.

Summer playlist secured. Credit: Milan Records

Listings will start to go live at 12:01 a.m. ET on Thursday, but don't bother setting your alarm. "Stock is not limited for the pre-order, so no need to wake up early or worry about missing it!" Milan Records states on an FAQ page. "There will be plenty of options for purchase during the initial pre-order launch."

The CD and both vinyl variants are slated to start shipping on July 10, the same day the album arrives on digital, per Billboard. Visit Milan Records' website to check out the complete tracklist.

OpenAI’s Sora shutting down: When it happens, 2 AI video alternatives

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 17:10

You may have heard that OpenAI is killing its Sora AI video generation tool. However, that doesn't mean it's the end of the line for AI video generation in general.

Sam Altman's company announced the surprising move on Tuesday afternoon, in conjunction with Disney axing its big-money partnership with OpenAI at the same time.

The nature of the announcement made it seem, at least from the outside looking in, that things are moving quickly inside OpenAI right now. In other words, when Sora will fully shut down and what that means for your creations hasn't been revealed. In an X post announcing the decision, the Sora account merely said "We’ll share more soon, including timelines for the app and API and details on preserving your work."

This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.

Well, OK then! While OpenAI works all of the specifics out, it's time for anyone who really liked using Sora to investigate other alternatives for AI video generation. Here are some easy options.

Google Veo 3

The most mainstream option is going to be Google's Veo 3 model, which Mashable called "shockingly realistic" when it launched last year. You can make videos that look better than most other models, but obviously, nothing is free. You'll need one of Google's paid AI plans, which also come with enhanced Gemini features and access to Nano Banana, among other things. These start at $7.99 per month, so they aren't the most expensive thing in the world, but you'll need to ask yourself if you want to pay monthly for the ability to generate videos. That question will come up again as you look for alternatives to Sora.

Luma Ray3

Speaking of money, Luma's Ray3 model is also known for producing realistic, high-quality videos, but at a cost. And it's a steep one compared to Veo 3. The cheapest plan is $30 monthly, so by comparison, Veo 3 is a steal. That said, Ray3 has a deep bench of editing tools, native 1080p video generation, and some other bells and whistles that might make it worth the price, depending on what you plan on doing with it.

Best Buy’s Tech Fest is officially over, but these leftover deals are still worth your money

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 16:55

The Amazon Big Spring Sale is all anyone can talk about right now (which, fair, it's basically a pre-game for July's Prime Day event). But Amazon isn't the only retailer dropping prices this week.

In a completely unsurprising move to steal some of that spotlight, Best Buy threw its own Tech Fest sale over the weekend. The official event technically wrapped up, but a ton of those discounts are still live on the site as of March 25, including markdowns on big-ticket items like OLED TVs, noise-canceling headphones, and Apple products.

SEE ALSO: Amazon's Big Spring Sale is back: The best deals already live on Apple, robot vacuums, headphones, and more

So before you blow your entire shopping budget at Amazon, here are the best leftover Best Buy deals you can add to your cart right now.

There are literally hundreds of leftover deals still floating around Best Buy's site right now, and we'll be updating this piece as we dig through more of them. But if we had to single out a discount to jump on right this second, it's this one. Scoring a 65-inch Samsung OLED for under $900 is basically unheard of outside of Black Friday. If you've been waiting for an excuse to finally upgrade your living room setup, saving over a grand on a premium display beats paying full price for whatever shiny new model drops next month.

The best TV deals in Amazons Spring Sale — score budget QLED TVs at record-low prices

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 16:43

Most of the year's major flagship TVs announced in January are typically out by the end of March, cueing retailers to push deals on last year's TVs even harder. March was further established as one of the best months to buy a TV when Amazon started holding a massive annual spring sale. This year, it's longer than ever: The 2026 Big Spring Sale runs from March 25 through 31. And a ton of TVs are included in the sale.

SEE ALSO: What to look for when buying a TV, as told through this easy TV specs guide

It's not just Amazon's in-house Fire TVs that see big discounts during the Big Spring Sale — they're hardly the best TVs you can get for the money right now. The most worthwhile Amazon TV deals are from solid budget brands like TCL and Hisense, with a few premium options like Samsung's The Frame thrown in. To find deals on premium 2025 OLEDs, Best Buy tends to have way more options.

We’re tracking the strongest Amazon TV deals throughout the Big Spring Sale, with a rolling list updated as prices change. Every model featured here is at, or lower than, its previous best price based on data from camelcamelcamel, so these are genuinely competitive offers. We’re also watching for fresh discounts across the models we've picked as the best 65-inch TVs you can buy this year.

Best Big Spring Sale TV deal Hisense 75-inch U7 QLED 4K TV $897.96 at Amazon
$1,297.99 Save $400.03   Get Deal at Amazon Why we like it

One TV that's actually beating its previous record-low sale price is the 2025 75-inch Hisense U7. Currently 31 percent off, it's $103 cheaper than it was just a month ago during Presidents' Day sales.

The 2026 version of the same TV was just unveiled on March 6, so a new price drop on the predecessor model certainly tracks. The 2026 75-inch U7 will cost $1,999.99 — more than $1,000 steeper than the 2025 model's $897.96 sale price. Those are the kind of steals we were talking about. The 65-inch model is also at a new record-low $697.96 if 75 inches is a bit larger than you'd like.

This mini LED model packs a serious punch for the price. Its brightness in SDR and HDR gets consistently great notes across the internet, with glare handling strong enough for most sunlit rooms. You don't always see a 165 Hz refresh rate in budget to mid-range TVs, so the Hisense U7 is a top contender for an XL gaming TV under $1,000.

Netflixs Apex trailer teases Charlize Theron being hunted in the Australian wilderness

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 16:39

If there's one thing we've learned from Australian survival thrillers, it's that it's never a good idea to venture out solo into the wilderness — and if you do, you definitely want to avoid asking the locals for directions.

A cat-and-mouse survival game plays out in the Netflix trailer above for Apex, which sees Charlize Theron being hunted through the mountains by an impressively creepy Taron Egerton.

From the looks of things we can expect beautiful scenery, rock climbing and kayak-based action sequences, and plenty of shots of Egerton grinning while wielding a crossbow.

Apex is streaming on Netflix from April 24.

Amazon's Big Spring Sale has arrived. The seasonal sale, which runs March 25 through 31, focuses on seasonal transition items – think cleaning supplies to freshen up your home and camping supples to get outdoors. However, it wouldn't be a sale without tech deals, too.

We've spotted solid savings on tablets, good timing considering Apple just dropped a brand new one. The Apple iPad Air with M4 chip just dropped this month, and it's already on sale. But if iPads aren't your thing don't worry, there are plenty of other tablet deals to shop.

Here are all the best tablet deals to shop during Amazon's Big Spring Sale.

Read our full review of the Apple iPad Air (M4).

Apple's latest iPad drop is the iPad Air with M4 chip. It's one of the retailers speediest, most efficient tablets, scoring 13,176 on the Geekbench 6 test, which puts it ahead of most laptops. When Apple released the new iPad Air, they didn't raise the price, keeping the midrange tablet at $599. However, it already received a price cut at Amazon.

During the Big Spring Sale, get the Apple iPad Air with M4 chip for just $559. While that's only $40 in savings and less than 10% off its list price, it's still a great deal considering it's a brand new tablet.

So while we might like this deal best, if you want some bigger savings, there are plenty more deals to shop.

Speedy processing for gaming and streaming, gorgeous displays and crystal clear resolution, adjustable app windows, and an included stylus for note taking or drawing. We've previously tested the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which is a step up from the S11.

Amazon just dropped the Apple iPad Air to its lowest-ever price — save $199 during the spring sale

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 15:24

As of March 25, the Mashable-tested Apple iPad Air 11-inch (M3) is down to $549.99 in the Amazon Big Spring Sale. Not only is that $199.01 off the list price of $749, but it's also the lowest-price ever for this device, beating the previous record by about fifty bucks.

So, if you’ve been looking to add a new iPad to your arsenal of smart devices, now’s the moment to strike. Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, which officially launched today, has delivered a ton of Apple deals. But so far, this is the one that’s really caught our eye — thanks in part to its stunning Liquid Retina Display and our first-hand experience with it.

When Apple released the M1 version of the iPad Air back in 2022, we said that it was too powerful. And that's quadruply true for the new M4 version that was just released a few weeks ago. Honestly, this previous-gen iPad Air is right in the sweet spot, with a relatively affordable price tag and a genuine discount.

We've practically composed poems to this tablet's design in our reviews over the years. The iPad Air is incredibly thin and light, and until it's capable of folding, it's hard to imagine how this tablet could get much sleeker. The only thing it's really missing is the HDR and OLED display of the iPad Pro, which also costs a lot more.

It’s not all about looks, of course. That stunning display needs power, which comes in the form of Apple’s advanced M3 chip with support for Apple Intelligence (which will be important when the new AI Siri makes its debut later this year).

Other features include Touch ID, an all-day battery, and great tools for graphic designers. And as a lightweight Air model, it’s easy to take in your bag — perfect for commuters or anyone who works on-the-go. The 12MP camera is also perfect for high-quality video calls and general snaps.

Don’t miss the Apple iPad Air 11-inch in the Amazon Big Spring Sale. Now reduced to just $549.99, its lowest ever price for savings of $199.01.

Amazon's third annual Big Spring Sale runs through March 31, and while we saw a few early deals last week, the main event is finally here. Items like Apple products, robot vacuums, and speakers are heavily reduced, with more to follow. Even high-end fitness trackers got the discount treatment, with deals to be found on many brands including Garmin, Google, and of course, Apple Watches. So, if you've been looking for a fitness tracker to assist your routine, now is the perfect time to buy.

The biggest discounts we're seeing right now are on last-gen Garmin watches, but we'll be updating this list as new price drops appear. We're still keeping a close eye on a couple of big names, like Whoop and Oura, to see if they drop their prices now that the sale has started.

Here are all the best fitness tracker deals you can shop at Amazon throughout the Big Spring Sale 2026.

While it's since been replaced with the newer vívoactive 6, the Garmin vívoactive 5 is still an excellent choice. It's a perfect all-rounder for someone who wants a fitness tracker with plenty of smartwatch features. It can track everything from long runs and rides to stress, sleep, and body battery, has a bright and responsive AMOLED display, and boasts 11 days of battery power (Apple could literally never). I personally gifted this watch to my boyfriend (he loves it) after snagging an epic Black Friday discount, but it's now even cheaper. At $174.28, it's over 40% off and is down to the lowest price we've ever seen.

Best Apple Watch deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple Watch Series 11 (GPS, 42mm) $299 at Amazon

If you're looking for a solid Apple Watch deal, this $100 price drop on the Series 11 makes it a pretty stellar value. It's been chilling at this price for awhile now, so we're hoping to see the Big Spring Sale drop it down even lower. But even if it doesn't, $299 for the newest Apple Watch ain't bad. It brings significant battery improvements over its predecessor, which alone makes it worth the upgrade. It also has a tougher design with more durable glass that's twice as resistant to scratches, 5G capability for seamless connectivity, and a Sleep Score and hypertension tool for flagging high blood pressure.

Sony and Honda have killed their Afeela electric car

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 14:51

It was not meant to be.

Shortly after Honda discontinued several upcoming electric vehicles of its own, Sony and Honda's joint electric vehicle project Afeela has come to an abrupt end.

In a joint statement, the companies said they would "discontinue the development and launch of its first model, AFEELA 1, and its second model," as well as review their business direction together.

While Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), the joint automotive venture between Sony and Honda, has not effectively been killed yet, the statement said the company will "continue to discuss and evaluate the future of SHM," with an announcement coming "at the earliest possible opportunity."

In other words, with no cars on the horizon, SHM is on life support, and it seems unlikely it will ever do much besides be unceremoniously dismantled in the near future.

Unlike Honda's "0 Series" concepts, SHM's Afeela appeared to be quite close to production, with the company showing an upgraded version of Afeela 1 just months ago at CES.

SEE ALSO: Remember those cool Honda 0 Series electric cars? They're not happening.

The sleek, techy Afeela 1 was envisioned as a car that puts entertainment first, with features including PlayStation Remote Play, an AI assistant, and videoconferencing. The starting price was set at $89,000 in the U.S., with the launch intended for late 2026.

The "second model" mentioned in SHM's statement is likely the Afeela 2 SUV, which was supposed to launch further down the line.

Samsungs A37 and A57: midrange phones with some premium features

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 14:00

Samsung just recently launched the Galaxy S26 lineup — but in this economic climate, expensive flagship phones aren't for everyone. That's where the company's two newest handsets come in.

The Korean tech giant announced the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 phones on Wednesday. These two mid-range devices, priced at $449 and $549, could be intriguing options for Samsung fans who want premium specs without paying more than $1,000 for a Galaxy S26 Ultra. They're available on April 9. The A57 only comes in one color called Awesome Navy, while the A37 comes in four: Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Lavender, Graygreen, and Awesome White.

SEE ALSO: Samsung adds AirDrop support to Galaxy S26 Here are all of the A37 colors. Credit: Alex Perry/Mashable

Here are the specs for the A37, which is the cheaper and more modest of the two phones:

  • 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate

  • Exynos chipset

  • 6GB or 8GB RAM

  • 128GB or 256GB storage

  • 5,000mAh battery

  • Three rear cameras: 50MP wide, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro

  • 12MP selfie camera

And here are the specs for the Galaxy A57, which is a very similar phone but with some extra bells and whistles to justify the price difference:

  • 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate

  • Exynos chipset

  • 8GB RAM

  • 128GB or 256GB storage

  • 5,000mAh battery

  • Three rear cameras: 50MP wide, 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro

  • 12MP selfie camera

Good website. Credit: Alex Perry/Mashable

The phones are pretty close to each other in terms of specs. The more expensive A57 has higher base RAM and a slightly better rear camera array, as well as a couple of bonus AI photo editing features that aren't available on A37: Best Face and Auto Trim.

The A37 does have access to many of Samsung's other AI editing tools, as well as AI staples like Circle to Search.

Another reason you might opt for the A57: it's 0.5mm thinner and 27g lighter than the A37. It's no Galaxy S25 Edge, but I did get to hold and use both phones briefly at a press event, and I can confirm the A57 is a tad bit more comfortable in the hands.

Aside from size and weight, the phones are similar beasts. They both come with Android 16, and the Exynos chips inside of them seemed to make apps load quickly and smoothly in my brief time using them.

For the first time, Samsung has given its midrange options IP68 dust and water resistance. That should make them at least marginally more durable, depending on how adventurous you are.

This feels like a slightly more important midrange launch for Samsung than usual, given the tumultuous economy and RAM shortage that's making high-end tech more expensive than ever. Since the Google Pixel 10a was relatively disappointing this year, maybe Samsung can snatch the "best midrange Android phone" crown away from Google.

Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is officially underway today, and we’re already seeing some pretty promising price drops across multiple categories, including $300 price cuts on MacBooks and $400 off Apple Watches.

Of course, we’re holding out to see if Amazon’s going to gift us with additional Apple deals, but there’s no denying the Apple AirTag deals are worth jumping on right now.

Amazon's Big Spring Sale is officially live now through March 31. The retailer is dropping prices on hundreds (if not thousands) of items, heavily discounting everything from robot vacuums to Apple products. Fortunately, drones are getting the exact same treatment. If you've been waiting for a solid price drop to finally pull the trigger on a new model, your patience just paid off.

To save you some digging, we've already lined up our favorite deals below.

Despite the recent ban on DJI imports, you can still safely buy existing stock in the U.S. — and you probably should while it's actively discounted.

If you've been holding out for a DJI drone deal, this bundle just hit its lowest price in 90 days. The DJI Neo is a ridiculously beginner-friendly 4K mini drone that weighs just 135 grams, meaning you go from box to sky without worrying about registering it with the FAA. It features automatic subject tracking, takes off and lands right from the palm of your hand without a remote, and comes with full-coverage propeller guards for extra peace of mind.

Bonus: It includes three batteries and a charging hub, bumping your total flight time up to a very solid 54 minutes before you have to go hunting for a wall outlet.

If you want to learn how to fly without the constant fear of immediately destroying an expensive piece of tech, the Holy Stone HS110D is our favorite budget pick. It has a 1080p HD camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens, but more importantly, it's incredibly forgiving for first-time pilots. Built-in safety nets like altitude hold and headless mode keep things stable while you figure out the controls, and the companion app unlocks extra features like voice control and trajectory flight.

Amazon's Big Spring Sale is officially live from March 25 to 31. This event typically ushers in discounts on all sorts of items, giving you an early-year treat before the major sales events get going later in the year (like Prime Day). That even includes Apple products, a lot of which have fallen to record-low prices this week.

If you’ve been eyeing an iPad, we've spotted discounts of up to $200 across Apple's tablet lineup — even the just-updated M4 iPad Air. (Its predecessor is way cheaper, though.) We’ve pulled together the best live deals to make things easier. Note: Offers marked with a 🔥 have dropped to an all-time low.

We consider the iPad Air to be the best Apple tablet for most people: It's great for everyday activities like streaming and reading, but it's also powerful enough to use like a laptop. You can get an 11-inch M3 model with cellular connectivity for just $549.99 during the Big Spring Sale, or about $200 off — its biggest discount ever. The newer M4 version without cellular is $5 more expensive, and you're only looking at a small gen-over-gen speed boost there.

Jamie Dornan loses out on a Bond audition in SNL UK promo

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 13:06

Jamie Dornan is taking over from Tina Fey as guest host for the second ever SNL UK episode this Saturday, but in the promo skit above he's got another role on his mind.

In the clip Dornan sits rehearsing when he's approached by cast members Celeste Dring, Hammed Animashaun, and Al Nash, the latter of whom informs Dornan that he himself has made the final two to play the next Bond, along with Jacob Elordi.

"I, um...I was in the running for Bond," says a dejected Dornan, before giving a solid line reading that does nothing to impress the others.

The best MacBook deals in Amazons Big Spring Sale — record-low prices, including the MacBook Neo

Wed, 03/25/2026 - 12:42
A quick look at the best MacBook deals from Amazon's Big Spring Sale: Best MacBook Air deal Apple MacBook Air, 13-inch (M4, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) $949 (save $250) Get Deal Best MacBook Neo deal (that's barely a deal) Apple MacBook Neo (A18 Pro, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) $689.99 (save $9.01) Get Deal Best MacBook Pro deal Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD) $1,799 (save $100) Get Deal

Amazon's third annual Big Spring Sale is now live from March 25 to 31. The event mainly revolves around seasonal essentials like cleaning supplies and outdoor gear, but it also prompts some good deals on must-have tech — including flagship Apple products. Apple just refreshed and expanded its MacBook lineup earlier this month, and some of the new models are already on sale.

The colorful new MacBook Neo with Touch ID is a whopping — wait for it — $9 off. (Don't forget about the Apple Store's $100 education discount.) Of course, there are better deals to be had.

Amazon's biggest discount thus far is going to a 15-inch M4 MacBook Air with 24GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which is now $300 off. (At $1,299, it's never been cheaper.) Other configurations start at just $899 with less RAM, storage, and a smaller screen. Remember: Apple has discontinued the M4 MacBook Airs, so once supplies dry up, they'll only be available on the refurbished market.

SEE ALSO: Amazon's Big Spring Sale is back: The best deals already live on Apple, robot vacuums, headphones, and more

The brand-new M5 MacBook Airs and M5 Pro/Max MacBook Pros are all $50 off for the Big Spring Sale, and that's probably going to be as cheap as they get for now. (The then-new M4 models got the same discount last year.) Look for better deals in a couple of months come Prime Day.

This is just day one of the Big Spring Sale, and Mashable will be keeping track of all the latest MacBook price drops. Check back to be the first to know about the top Apple deals. Offers marked with a 🔥 have dropped to a record-low price.

The M4 MacBook Air may be a last-gen laptop, but it's still an incredibly capable ultraportable. (In our testing, it proved much faster than much pricier Windows laptops.) It has the same 12MP Center Stage webcam, Liquid Retina display, and 18-hour battery life as its new M5 counterpart, which just offers slightly faster performance and newer wireless connectivity. This 13-inch configuration has 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage just like the M5 base model, which is going for $100 more.

With the Amazon Big Spring Sale now underway across gaming, Apple tech, and plenty more categories, Pokémon TCG deals are starting to get more interesting again. Perfect Order preorder pricing has been jumping around for weeks between ETBs, booster bundles, and individual packs, but the full booster box is now shaping up as one of the smartest buys around.

As of March 25, Walmart has the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Perfect Order Booster Box listed for $214.99 with free shipping, while Amazon has it up for preorder at $249.95. Amazon’s offer is still a legitimate discount, dropping the box $30.04 below its $279.99 list price, but Walmart is clearly the better deal right now.

That Walmart price looks especially strong against the current card-market baseline. TCGplayer shows a market price of $223.31 for the Perfect Order Booster Box, while the lowest current listing sits at $232.75 before shipping.

Each Perfect Order Booster Box comes with 36 booster packs, making it one of the most straightforward ways to go deeper into the new Mega Evolution expansion. Perfect Order includes over 120 trading cards in the Mega Evolution set (featuring Mega Evolutions from Pokémon Legends: Z-A), so a sealed display box gives collectors and rippers a much better shot at seeing the expansion properly compared to a smaller bundle or three-pack blister.

Among other fresh Pokémon TCG deals, Amazon’s Spring Sale has cut over $60 off the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection. Plus, Amazon has taken nearly $17 off the Pokémon TCG Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection — making it cheaper than Walmart and TCGplayer.
